We're more than happy to check over your transaction to gain an understanding. It sounds like this may be associated with fees on the purchase. During times of high network activity there can be unusually large network fees associated with cryptocurrency transfers. These mining fees are not set by or paid to Wyre or our wallet partners though we do apologize for any confusion in the messaging prior to initiating your buy. The purchase could have failed and you may be seeing a pending charge that should return back to you. If you placed a card purchase these are typically instant but due to network delays could take a couple of hours at times. If an ACH purchase was placed these can take up to 5 business days to deliver, this is because ACH relys on the banking system. We're more than happy to look into this for you. Wyre takes strict measures to prevent unauthorized transactions wherever possible. An authorization code from within the pending bank transactions is required to authenticate any transaction attempts. If this information has been compromised we would highly recommend taking the steps to close any connected accounts as per the necessary security precautions. If this information was obtained through other means such as phishing we would again recommend closing any associated accounts where information may have been compromised. For card purchases, these are usually instant but can be delayed a few hours depending on network activity. If you placed a recent ACH purchase, these can take up to 5 business days to deliver, this is because they work with the banking system. If unauthorized transactions have occurred on your card or bank account, you'll likely need to get that card and/or bank account closed to ensure there are no further unauthorized attempts as that card/bank account would be compromised. Wyre will never attempt to reach out to an individual, either through email or phone, to obtain an individual’s banking or credit/debit card information.
