SelfDecode provides unprecedented access to genetic information for consumers. It enables normal people to be able to better understand their own health, and how their personal genetics may influence their health, and their response to various treatment. SelfDecode shows the complexity of genetics and does not oversimplify, while making concepts understandable without extensive prior biological knowledge.

SelfDecode is such a useful Tool! I joined a few months ago simply because I wanted to put all my old lab results in one spot! (you can type in old ones that are printed out too!) It's really useful being able to see how they trend over the years. While I did not join SelfDecode for their health reports, I've ended up really enjoying them. I particularly like the Legacy version....see 2.0 for the 'cliff notes' versions if you are short on time. :) After getting a health report on my dna potential for allergies & food sensitivities, I decided to make an appointment with a local allergist & found several allergies that have really changed things for me in quite unexpected ways! Customer service here is Great by the way! Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable & prompt!

I have been a member with Self Decode for several years now. The wellness reports are very beneficial, easy to understand, and provides helpful info on how based on your DNA.

In 2016 I overdosed on my (low dose!) prescription Vyvanse. That same year, a paper was released detailing how patients with certain genetic mutations in a particular enzyme (CYP2D6) can experience an elevated plasma concentration of amphetamines of up to 30x! This explained why my heart rate was 160 bpm lying down! My doctor was NOT knowledgeable about this, but using self decode I was able to discover that I had an inactive CYP2D6 enzyme. I then went on to discover that I had a few other enzymes that weren’t functioning as normal. Some were slow metabolizers, some completely inactive, and some as fast as double normal speed. This meant, e.g. that I need to take 2x the PPi dosage (cleared with my GP) to treat my acid reflux. Self decode was the quickest route to the truth, and gave me answers to so many questions I had struggled with growing up. I know there are millions out there which self decode can help on their journey of medical introspection. We’re all built very similarly on a genetic level, but the “few” differences we have are vast, they number in the millions. Self decode is a necessary asset in discovering our optimal health.

I've been a Lifetime member for a couple of years now, and I can't say enough about how valuable I find this information. I battle mercury toxicity that sidelined me about 12 years ago.
