Great course, great teacher!

I definitely improved over the 3 months while taking this course even though I wasn't able to fully take advantage of everything. There's many ways to learn about a topic and go very in-depth. My TA offered great constructive feedback and for any questions I had not related to the lesson, he was still happy to answer. I recommend Animation Bootcamp for anyone no matter what skill level they're at.

I only don't give 5 stars because of the technical difficulties/glitches I experienced with the note taking system. Other than that I loved this course (Basecamp) and EJ is a great instructor.

The courses were great. Thanks.

This course is so well designed. The lessons and homework are all brilliant. Challenging to keep up (especially if you have a day job) but worth it.

I'm very satisfied with my experience with the After Effect Kickstarter course. The lessons were thought out in a fun way to learn quite a lot of content for such a short time. I wish I wasn't working at the same time I was taking the course so I could train and explore more, but I feel like I achieved my goal of learning not just the basics but quite a lot of how the software works.

This course was exactly what I was looking for. A highly reputable instructor teaching a niche skill set within an already niche creative field. I enjoyed the flexible nature of the course (I work full-time in the day) and gained a lot of practical knowledge. The skills and more importantly the workflow are going to be invaluable in the future. I also know how much work certain effects shots require and can confidently gauge if something a client asks is reasonable or wildly overreaching. The only reason I don’t give the course a 5/5 is because I found the Notes feature to be quite buggy. It’s great being able to add time stamped notes to lessons, but half of the time the UI would get hung up and then I’d end up losing comments or having to reload the page again and finding my spot. Excellent in theory, but needs some more refinement to make the experience more user friendly.

overall I thought the course was good. I do think it would be helpful if the videos were a bit more bite sized. like an hour+ video could be 2 videos. to sort of suggest, follow along up to here. Maybe a quick review/ recap then move on review recap then the assignment. it's so much info that once your doing the assignment most of it is lost. also, as a side note, I think you should task someone with making fun animations of that describe the tools. sort of in the principals of the memory palace. like crazy imagery to show what a mask is, vs a clipping mask, etc. I'd try and go for it but I can't animate. I have like 5 more courses to tackle.
