Customer Jane from S.
My elderly Father invested a considerable amount of money in a Raisin savings account. Apparently he was sent several e-mails requesting that he transfer these funds to Starling Bank. He never received these e-mails so did not transfer these funds which resulted in him losing all the interest which had accrued over the years. In addition to his e-mail address, Raisin also had his telephone number and home address so could have easily contacted him when he failed to respond to their e-mail messages. I believe their cavalier attitude demonstrates a lack in duty of care to their investors and their irresponsible procedures should be revised. Needless to say, they have not accepted my argument and in view of the fact that my Father has now died, I have not the energy or time to pursue the matter further but felt it important that others are not caught out in the same way.
