Hello Lynne, Thank you for your important feedback! We agree that excellent customer service should be a focus for each and every order. We make an effort to ship each order within the turnaround listed at the top of our website so that customers can plan for their needs in advance. We also aim to make this turnaround time as short as possible, though we do receive a high volume of orders and batch the oils as orders are placed and put into our production line. Sometimes a customer will not always be able to project their needs and plan for our turnaround time. In these cases we offer a rush service, which is available to be added on to orders placed before 12pm ET. As you noted, there is a fee associated with this rush option. This fee is based on the size of the rush order and serves a couple of purposes. We frequently will have to reassign production staff and have multiple staff members work on filling a rush order, so that we can get it quickly prepared in time to be packed and shipped that same day. We also find that if there is no fee associated with this rush service, many people will (understandably) select the rush option and have their order skip to the head of the production line. Unfortunately, this would negate the whole purpose of offering this emergency service option to those who truly need their order to ship that same day.
