Awful!! Do not buy their warranty b/c they will find some exclusion
I had a terrible experience with Safeware and the extended warranty I purchased for my phone that I got through Reebelo. I bought the warranty believing that if the phone stopped functioning properly through no fault of my own, the warranty would help resolve the issue. Instead, after spending HOURS trying to troubleshoot the problem with both Apple and my carrier, I was ultimately denied because Safeware claims it is a “software issue.” Here’s the frustrating part: the phone does not work correctly. Text messaging and group messaging have had ongoing problems since the beginning, and the issue has progressively gotten worse. Apple and my carrier both indicated they believed the issue was with the phone itself, yet Safeware still refused to cover it unless I drive a long distance to a repair facility, pay for diagnostics, and somehow prove it qualifies under their narrow definition of coverage. It was like a SCAM - you buy this extended warranty, but they say that everything is excluded from it. To me, that completely defeats the purpose of purchasing an extended warranty. If a phone is malfunctioning during normal use and it is clearly not due to something I caused, what exactly is the warranty for? I could understand if I dropped it in water or physically damaged it myself, but this was not caused by recklessness or abuse. I truly tried to work with them reasonably throughout this process, but the experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and disappointing. I feel like I spent money on a warranty that becomes incredibly difficult to actually use when you need it most.
