Fantastic vendor and a great product!
So I ordered 2 of the "salad container" models because I wanted a quick and easy low maintenence method this timw around, and really didnt care about max yeilds or anything, but mostly I was missing a part to my PC, and don't feel like buying a new one yet. They came fast, just a few days, but the lids were popped out and needed to be pushed back down before opening the bag, that part alone made me worried about contams, but it was still in the bag so I figured maybe the bag was sterilized as wel. Then one stalled at about 1/3 colonization and both containers contamed. Upon opening the sticker over the air filter I found the filter pushed down, like the glue had melted, and was probably pulling in contaminated air the whole time. Contams do happen, but theses were clearly damaged. Things happen, espececially with new products, but ryzagrow was happy to fix it, and sent me 4 replacement pods, but this time the quart sized plastic jars. Unfortunately 2 had been damaged during shipping, the tape on the tops broke, one top was completely off and one twisted loose. Probably the shipping company's fault, but there was definitely a lack of protective packaging materials, and the jars had only 2 peices of tape keeping the lids on. I let ryza know about the damage and packaging issues, but told him we were all square since I got the 2 I paid for and didnt need 4 anyway, but moght try to resterilze them when I got my PC fixed. Well, he sent me out one more replacement jar anyway, and this time he fixed all the packaging issues, and taped the lid all the way around. I eventually resterilized the 2 open ones against ryza's advice, and yeah they were correct, because the glue on the filters melted and peeled off, but I managed to put some polyfill over it and breifly sterilze again, and now the 2 opened ones are halfway colonized, the sealed ones are around 2/3rds colonized. So while I wasted some time on the first two, I ultimately wound up with 5 usable substrates from ryzagrow for the price of 2, so they more than fixed the issue. Its really great to see a vendor care this much about their customers and the products they sell. They were always polite, understanding, helpful, honest, and speedy with their communication, fast to ship, and the product, while the inital offering had some design flaws, it seems theyre absolutely dedicatied to improving the product they sell, and listen to customer feedback, because the new jars are fantastic! Easy to use, easy to understand, easy to maintain and take care of, and big enough of a substrate to get multiple decent harvests. Perfect for beginners, and great for lazy people. I may have saved a little money if I went the pf tek or grain to tub route, but the conveinience of the whole system is worth the few extra bucks. Great product, good value, fantastic vendor!!!.
