caveat emptor - buyer beware
lot 334 in their 19/09/25 auction is NOT a circa 1840 scottish basket hilt, but a late Victorian hiled circa 1900 sudanese blade (a common thing returning British soldiers did with their captured kaskara swords) - the markings and the flexible nature of the blade give it away.
