My recent trip to Tanzania
My recent trip to Tanzania, with my husband’s family members, was my third trip to Africa. Our first was The Greatest Safari on Earth and second, a trip with my family members in South Africa, all curated with ROAR. Tanzania did not disappoint…we were there during the migration, with zebras and wildebeast walking single file horizon to horizon. We saw all big game and more. The ROAR team covers every detail. From pre planning your destination until a final zoom call ensures names, ages, visas, connections, types of rooms, wants, needs, allergies, all these details to ensure you arrive and get through customs, meet drivers and guides as smoothly as possible. We continually felt safe and taken care of upon arriving in Africa until departing. The team is also on the ground in Africa to confront any need that arises. There is also an app with your personal itinerary for daily updates, communication, weather, and photo uploads. The properties are vetted and visited by their team. You are welcomed the minute you arrive and every friendly courtesy extended during your stay. Education and conservation are often over looked in considering a safari but both provide opportunity at lodges ROAR recommends. Gardening, cooking schools, wine tasting, local dancers, water conservation in dry months, rhino/elephant conservation and tagging, the craft of sandal making, bead belts and jewelry and the healing of spa aromatherapy. All apart of the unique culture in this amazing country. As much as I love the daily safaris and peaceful landscape, there is so much more to discover. ROAR opened these doors for us. I wouldn’t travel to Africa with out them! We have another trip planned in January to Cape Town and Antarctica!
