Boxer Briefs are not Durable
I purchased three pairs of Ridge Merino boxer briefs for nearly $100, expecting premium quality and durability. Unfortunately, despite wearing each pair no more than once per week, all three developed significant thinning and holes in the area between the legs in less than a year. I've owned numerous other brands, both expensive and inexpensive, and have never experienced such poor durability. When I contacted Ridge Merino, their customer service team was responsive but dismissed the deterioration as "normal wear and tear" and refused to replace the products. Instead, they offered a 30% discount to purchase more underwear. For a premium-priced product, this level of durability is unacceptable, and a discount on another purchase is hardly a satisfactory resolution. I expected a company charging these prices to stand behind its products. I would not recommend these briefs unless you have the funds to replace them frequently.
