Andrew R.
Unprofessional and Incompetent
The team at REI Accounting Advisors created significant accounting problems that have lead to multiple, expensive, and ongoing issues for our small business and rental properties. Initially, I was terminated as a client with no prior notice or warning, with the reasoning that I was past due on invoices. I paid every invoice within a reasonable timeframe and had no indication that I was past due. In addition, I had multiple conversations with the company during that same timeframe and no indication was given that my payments were behind or that there was a problem. This led to a sudden termination of bookkeeping and cpa services leaving me unprepared during the sale of one of our rental properties. Due to the way REI Accounting Advisors had set up our accounting software, I was left without ownership control of the account. When I contacted them to transfer the ownership, they stated my account was deleted on their end and there was nothing they could do. This led to me creating duplicate bookkeeping records for all of the work REI Accounting Advisors had previously done. Finally, due to the strategy guidance REI Accounting Advisors provided, there was an unforseen and large tax bill created. We have had continued issues come up well after our services ended with REI Accounting Advisors. They have been unprofessional and delayed in providing answers to any questions we have had to try and resolve the problems. As a business owner, real estate investor of 25+ properties, and property manager of 50+ properties, I highly recommend that you find an alternative and do not trust REI Accounting Advisors with your accounting and CPA needs.
