Now that Redecor has installed AI for judging the designs, rather then relying on human judges, they can control who wins and who loses. This gives them the ability to make things more "balanced" by keeping weaker designers in the game by rewarding them with 1st through 3rd place (top spots to allow you to stay in the game). These weaker designs absolutely do not deserve it (imagine purple, orange and black polka dots and stripes in a minimalist design competition coming in first place!) Better designers are bumped toward the end as losers. This triggers people's desire to win and, therefore, more willing to put real money into the game and real money into Redecor's pockets. It also discourages veteran players knowing the game is rigged. Additionally, they've replaced the better prizes, like coins, for useless card packs, which require hundreds of these collected in order to earn a handful of coins. Typically takes about a month of collecting these useless card packs to win coins. The prize wheels used to have real rewards/prizes, now they just have those cards. On top of that, they have increased the prices on most of the materials you can buy. So, it has become more and more difficult to afford the materials, unless putting real money in constantly. I'm inches away from pulling out of this game all together, even though I've mostly enjoyed playing it (up until now) for over 5 years. Recore, get rid of those cards and the unfair, biased AI judging.

The new upgrade is absolutely awful. Everything is expensive and you're locked out of alot of things, especially when you are restricted by designer inventory, if you don't spend money your designs look awful. If you do spend money it's gone very quickly, as the colour scheme you want is likely locked, hence you have to spend more. The swap cards are horrible and pretty worthless. You need to do something or loose consumers.

After playing Redecor for 5 years (to relax more than compete) I am finally tired of un-cordinated, mismatched colour designs beating out much better designs. Not just mine. I can appreciate designs that are better than mine, but designs that are obviously worse that are deemed better than mine, or other peoples', is galling. The voting has always mystified me and now I have decided to uninstall the app.

It’s fun to play but it comes down to spending money in order to win. Paying €20 a month for the premium version I would think you can play endless hours. Nope. You run out of items in no time and you have to pay again for new ones. It’s a ripoff.

I love everything about this game! Besides the fact it’s a complete rip off. You get a daily bonus of 3000 coins with interest when you status up on levels (currently “news worthy” 20% coins = $3600 coins daily every 5 hours. There is a “season pass” you pay $7.99 for to get exclusive materials and bonus’s as you level up - which is annoying because you need to pay AGAIN, then you have an option to play premium and subscribe.. even with all of that you STILL don’t have enough credit to complete designs or unlock items, most items are locked if not they are expensive and you spend all your coins anyway, some design wins must be rigged because they are not #1 spot worthy some of the time.. it’s okay if you’re trying to relax and not take it too seriously, I’ve made myself a promise not to spend anymore money on this game. The amount it adds up to is ridiculous if you let it get out of hand! If the owners of this app weren’t so greedy it would be a 10/10

Truly a waste of time. Don't bother spending money on this game. Without spending money you won't get anywhere, and it will bankrupt you if you do spend money. Warning!

I agree the game is rigged. It is frustrating and unfair. On the plus side, I refuse to spend any money. If you continue to submit the same design or one similar, eventually you win that round. No money from me and on that issue, I will continue to win.

I give Redecor a solid “2” and that’s because: I think the app is amazing for those with control…however… 1) it’s fun 2) its entertaining for designers 3) designers want to move “furniture” around in the room, which we can’t 4) when you’re running out of coins you’re ratings go down so regardless of your design, it forces incentive to buy more which is probably how it’s designed 5) not sure if they are actual voters or if it’s AI or an algorithm 6) I had a problem with the app - it kept charging me because it was stuck. I did receive more coins for random purchases but it was like 21 coins for a random flooring 🤯 and now that’s all I’m using just to get rid of them which reduces my chances of winning. It reduced my coin number by a crazy amount, like 100k. This episode happened more than once. Now that I’m aware, I make sure to close the app. Not to generalize, but it does create the same effect as “sports gambling” with sports fans which is a well known problem. Sports gambling is a real challenge with our younger generation who may be using their students loans to fund a crazy addiction. Just think about that “parents” as your kids burn through their 529’s. I get that’s it’s a business but it’s also Dangerous. Be careful for regulations coming your way. Thankfully I have some restraint and can manage my finances-I’m pretty sure our future taxes will go to those waived student loans that weren’t for college tuition but went straight to gaming apps. 🤯😞🙄😤😖
