Defective products
Defective products: rebels market sent us 2 premium leather belts with Italian names that turned out to be Chinese B grade garbage. The problems were that the belts had a terrible chemical stench that was nauseating and we had to put them in the garage because of the nauseating smell. When you touched the belts with your fingers they left chemical residues on the skin that made the skin irritated and dry, not dissimilar to when you get petrol on your fingers. The manager Belle refused to acknowledge these problems and pretended to say that it was a buyers remorse return so they can avoid paying us the postage costs that we should receive under their stated returns policy that states that buyer pays for return postage in cases of defective products. These people are liars and treat us with disdain. Don't waste your time with them. Buy from reputable dealers like Amazon.
Response from Rebels MarketMay 12, 2019
Eli, Thank you for submitting this review, we appreciate your honesty. Please understand that per our previous conversations, prior to you returning the order, the smell that you advised these belts have is due to the normal manufacturing and curing the leather with oil so that they are supple and long lasting. Without the treatment, the leather belts would become brittle and not fit to be sold. There are no unnatural chemicals used in the production of these belts, only natural oils to condition the leather. Please also note that neither of the belts were listed with Italian names per your review. Camo Print Leather Belt and Rockstar Studded Belt are what was listed. I would like to take the time to explain RebelsMarket a little bit. RebelsMarket is an online marketplace where hundreds of different sellers from all over the world sell, ship, and maintain their own products. Each of these sellers will have their own shipping policies and return policies (which can be found in the shipping and return policy tab on the product page, or on the seller's page). You can view where items ship from under the shipping and returns tab on the product page, and on the seller's main store page. Please understand that we are always more than willing to assist you with any questions prior to purchase and will communicate with you frequently throughout the return process as we had done, including advising you that per the seller, and per our return policy, the scent of the oils used to treat the leather isn't considered a defect. The seller on this order has already issued a full refund for the purchase price of the products and we have issued you a 10% of coupon code due to the dissatisfaction of this situation. We are only able to hold sellers accountable to cover return shipping costs due to damage, defect, or wrong items. I am very sorry that we were unable to offer to cover return shipping costs in this situation, however, the smell caused by the oils that are meant to treat the leather is not considered a defect. We have to ensure that we are being fair to our customers, sellers, and our partners. I do hope that you will give us another chance in the future to prove our loyalty to you. Sincerely, Belle
