I love this book set! I bought it for my daughters and my nieces. The art is amazing as are the stories. It gives them a great jumping off point for understanding all the ways there are to make a difference - if they connect to a particular woman or her story they can seek out more information. In the meantime, I am so pleased that they will see at an early age how women that made a difference and forged their own paths were not always liked as they were doing it.

I first bought Volume 1 for my grandneice's 9th birthday. I just talked with her mom about whether Volume 2 would be a good idea for her upcoming 10th birthday. The response was a resounding yes! She reads and rereads the book and has recalled details about a particular profile on family visits to historical sites and museums. I am so happy that she is enjoying it, over and over!
