Reading Horizons is an excellent program. I have seen amazing growth from the time they entered second grade to present in my students decoding, and reading and phonics skills. This is a direct instruction program where everything is well explained for the teacher. Students may go online and complete lessons such as reading high frequency words and read books from the library. There is an assessement for students to take too.

I have used Reading Horizons for the past 7 years. I loved that it was an explicit, systematic, sequential method. Reading Horizons aligns with The Science of Reading. This method helped me feel confident that what I was teaching was aligned with research. My students were actively engaged in the lessons and they were mastering phonics. My reading scores improved. The best part has been seeing students feel empowered to decode unknown words.

I enjoy utilizing the free resources online. It has helped tremendously. Thank you RH!

Reading Horizons has been an invaluable online, distance learning resource for our English learners at East Valley HS. The program helps promote the language structures, such as phonemic awareness, word blending, and spelling, which are essential fundamentals to acquire English as a second language for all English learners regardless of their age.

I am a second-grade teacher. I have been using Reading Horizons for 2 years. I love the program, and my students love it! Just today, one of my students said, "I love phonics!" It is engaging because the lessons have writing, reading, speaking, and body movement. I feel that my students are better readers because of Reading Horizons. When I am helping my students to decode words, I always refer to the phonics skills that we have learned. My kids enjoy the games. I enjoy the worksheets, decodable readers, homework, and all the many other resources that are available. If we have questions, Reading Horizons has a great support system. They are always willing to help and answer questions. I was happy to learn the phonics skills myself. They have helped me to decode hard words that I wasn't sure how to pronounce. I would highly recommend this program if you are looking for something to enhance your phonics lessons.

Our school serves students who are being educated from home and we have been using Reading Horizons on the virtual platform in our Intervention Program for three years with excellent results. The explicit phonics instruction makes it a perfect fit for our families. We have seen amazing growth in our students from the primary grades through struggling high school students. This year, we are expanding our use of Reading Horizons. We are now using it as a Tier 1 instruction option, for Specialized Academic Instruction for our students with IEPs, and with our English Learners. In my 30 plus years as an educator, I have not seen a reading program that has shown such consistently positive results with learners of all ages and diverse needs as Reading Horizons.

We have seen great improvements in the area of phonics since we have started Reading Horizons. Our teachers love the success their students are showing in the classroom! We love the multi-sensory components of RH and the breakdown of each lesson with the Daily 4. The additional resources on RH Accelerate are great too. Our students LOVE the student online component. An added benefit is the RH Team! They are outstanding and so willing to help answer any questions from our team.

I have been an EL instructor for over 5 years for grades K-7. Since using the Reading Horizon program and methods, we have seen a marked improvement in the reading domains for our students. The dictation portion of the program has been an integral part which I feel has increased our English Language Proficiency Assessments and students exiting from our EL program. I work with our kindergarten students on worksheet portions of the lesson, to better guide them with their letter formation and pronunciation of the letters. The quizzes and chapter assessments are a wonderful tool when determining the actual retention of material. I would recommend this product to any teacher to use in their classroom, but especially TESOL teachers!
