UPDATE:
So, I got this reply accusing me of "spam". Since my account was opened, I have probably submitted no more than 6-7 responses to journalists, all relevant requests that match my expertise. My account was active for 6 months. From all of these, I was featured 4 times by outlets like Live Science. Success, Family Handyman, and more.
So, please tell me, what have I done that you consider spammy? Your reply is a copy-paste script, and you haven't even bothered to look into my case.
Get in touch with me via e-mail, and let's resolve this dispute; it's totally unacceptable.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I waited almost a year to leave this review. I didn't want to leave the review because I hoped my situation would be resolved at some point, and maybe this was temporary. This company disables and blocks customers without any reason whatsoever. I have contributed to multiple outlets, including Tom's Guide, Live Science, Family Handyman, and more. After 3 months, my account was suspended without any explanation.
If you try to communicate with them, they will simply ignore you. This isn't how you build a credible media company.
I do not recommend the platform, as it is very unprofessional and rude.
Go with platforms such as Featured (HARO) Sources of Sources, and don't waste your time here.

We’re sorry to hear that this experience was frustrating. Qwoted is built on trust, and we have a responsibility to protect the quality of the platform for the journalists and editors who rely on it.
We strictly enforce our community guidelines and code of conduct. Accounts may be restricted or removed when behavior is identified as spam, including repeatedly submitting irrelevant or promotional pitches, ignoring media requests, or patterns of activity that media users flag as disruptive. Banned me for no reason and refused to tell me why. I spoke to their customer service, and they just ignored me after I asked them why.
A website that is meant to offer experts to journalists but limits the number of legitimate experts is a bit sus.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience with Qwoted didn’t meet your expectations.
Maintaining trust in our platform is very important to us. Journalists and editors rely on Qwoted to connect with credible, vetted experts, and we take our community guidelines and code of conduct seriously.
In some cases, accounts may be paused or deactivated if activity appears to conflict with these guidelines. This can happen if there are inconsistent logins, difficulty verifying an account’s identity, or if content is flagged by media users as AI-generated, spam, or off-topic. These decisions are always carefully reviewed.
If you feel your account was affected in error or want more details, please reach out to our support team. We value your feedback and are committed to improving the experience for everyone in our community.

Account Disabled Without Warning – Zero Communication for Weeks
I have been an active expert source on Qwoted for over a year, successfully contributing to major outlets like Forbes, BBC, and Travel+Leisure. My experience recently turned into a total lack of professional transparency.
I realized something was wrong when my regular email notifications for relevant media requests suddenly stopped in December. When I tried to log in at the start of January to investigate, I discovered my account had been disabled without any prior warning or explanation.
The lack of support is systemic:
Complete Silence: I sent multiple inquiries to their support team and my assigned Success Manager over the last three weeks. Every single email went unanswered.
Failed Live Chat: I attempted to resolve this via live chat today. The agent used an incorrect script claiming I was a duplicate user. When I explained that I have been a loyal user for over a year, the agent simply abandoned the conversation.
It seems I am not alone in this experience. Other recent reviews from users like Svetlana and Ehlana confirm a pattern of Qwoted blocking relevant, high-quality contributors with zero explanation or customer service.
If Qwoted is purging accounts to prioritize paid users, they should at least have the professional courtesy to inform their long-term partners. Disabling a proven expert source without a word is not how you build a credible media network.
I am now moving my expertise to more reliable and transparent platforms like HARO, Featured.com (owns also HARO), and Sources of Sources (SOS). Do not waste your time here if you expect basic communication or professional respect.
EDIT (13 February):
Trustpilot contacted me stating that Qwoted requested additional details to recognize my review.
I confirm that I was an active user of Qwoted for over a year. If further verification is required, Qwoted can contact me directly using the information associated with my account.
I stand by my review, which reflects my personal experience.
UPDATE (14 February 2026):
Trustpilot has contacted me again requesting additional verification details to confirm my experience with Qwoted. Here are the requested details:
Account email: provided privately via verification form
Account created: March 2024
Last successful login: December 2025
Success Manager: Shelby Bridges
Interestingly, my Success Manager Shelby Bridges viewed both my company profile (World Travel Index) and my LinkedIn profile immediately after I posted this review - proving that Qwoted is fully aware of who I am and can easily verify my account. Yet despite this, I still have received zero communication regarding why my account was disabled.
Qwoted has complete access to my account history and can verify all details at any time.
EDIT (18 February 2026) - Response to Qwoted's Reply:
Thank you for finally responding after weeks of silence.
However, your explanation raises serious questions:
1. "Inconsistent login patterns across time zones" - I am a travel industry expert who was traveling internationally throughout 2025 - which is literally my area of expertise that I pitched to journalists. Are you seriously flagging a travel expert for logging in from different countries while traveling? That's not suspicious activity - that's proof of my credentials. International travel is part of my professional work. This explanation makes no sense for someone in the travel industry.
2. "AI-generated content" - This claim is particularly puzzling. Qwoted has integrated third-party AI detection tools (GPTZero until Q3 2025, then Pangram) that automatically check all pitches before submission. Every single one of my pitches passed with 0% AI detection and was flagged as human-written. My contributions were published in Forbes, BBC, and Travel+Leisure - outlets with rigorous editorial standards. Are you suggesting these publications ran AI content?
3. "Spam or off-topic" - Major international publications found my travel industry expertise relevant enough to quote. How is that spam?
The core issue remains unchanged: You disabled my account without warning, ignored weeks of inquiries, and only responded after a public review. Your Success Manager Shelby Bridges viewed my LinkedIn profile after this review, confirming you knew exactly who I was - yet chose not to communicate directly.
If there was a legitimate concern, basic professional courtesy would have been to reach out before disabling the account of a proven contributor to top-tier outlets.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience with Qwoted wasn’t positive.
We take our community guidelines seriously and work hard to maintain a trusted space for both journalists and experts. In some cases, accounts may be paused or turned off if activity raises concerns, such as inconsistent login patterns across time zones, or content flagged as AI-generated, spam, or off-topic.
We appreciate your feedback, apologize for the experience, and are continuously working to improve the platform for everyone.

I wrote around 4 pitches that were…
I wrote around 4 pitches that were highly relevant, specifically requests for products for Valentines' day. Then I decided to pay for a year. Tried to do another relevant pitch on the same day and discovered that my account is blocked due to "negative feedback". What feedback? All I did was send descriptions with links to relevant products, as was requested. No explanation what I did wrong, just a letter with a refund and recommendation to turn to free resources. Thanks, I will. How are we supposed to know what we did wrong or how we abused the system? On the plus side, they are not money grabbers considering the refund, which I am supposedly getting soon. But overall, it was a very bad experience. I was ONLY replying to relevant requests. I am no spammer. If you guys have such high standards for pitchers in your elite club, you should live up to these standards by at the very least explaining what they are.

Absolute lack of customer service
I've just been trying to sign up to Qwoted to see if it's a good fit for my clients and I've been denied with no explanation at all, no response from the customer service team on the chat and have been ignored on email for over a week. Don't really understand to be honest.
Bit difficult to connect your journalists with vetted sources if you don’t bother vetting them
Response from QwotedFeb 13, 2026
We’re sorry to hear that your experience with Qwoted wasn’t a positive one. That’s never the outcome we want for anyone using our platform.
We take our community guidelines and code of conduct very seriously and actively listen to feedback from our media users. Journalists and editors trust Qwoted to connect them with vetted, credible expertise, and protecting that trust is a responsibility we don’t take lightly.
We appreciate the feedback and are always working to improve the experience for our entire community.

use to use it for years, automated CS, not helpful
I used Qwoted for years through a PR agency and decided to sign up again today (10/16/25). To my surprise, I immediately received an automated response saying my account was terminated due to "negative feedback" and that I wasn’t a good fit for the platform even though I haven’t used Qwoted in over two years. Extremely disappointing experience for a longtime user trying to reengage.

Not a good experience with this…
Not a good experience with this company. I signed and paid, but couldn't do anything. I sent emails to their support - Maegan Hinolan sent me one message.. and then that was it. She ignored all other emails from me. So they took my money, no refund, no access, no email back to explain what happened. Luckily I paid by credit card, so have to put in a claim. I can see from other reviews that this happened to others.
Not a good company to deal with.

Basically they disabled my account 2…
Basically they disabled my account 2 days after i bought the premium subscription. I messaged support multiple times over 2 days, as i had already put in a lot of work to write up responses. I hired a contractor to help me find pitches and spent money on that too. Only to not be able to quote someone after spening 30min writing a pitch, then being locked out of my account. I sent them a refund request and they refunded my account with no explanation of what happened and the inconvinence caused.
