Quest has almost come inaccesable. Used to be you could just walk in a receive service quickly. Now you have to navigate a difficult online scheduling platform. When you go in, you rwgister, but you still wait even though you made an appointment. Forget talking to a real person. It wont happen. When u came in the machine to check appointments wasnt working. I knocked on the door. The women inside just stood inside looking at me. I cant even imagine a person with differing abilities would manage handling thw process.

Quest on-site personnel are quite competent and efficient: quick, no muss, no fuss. Quest's online app and communication, on the other hand are user-resistant and uncommunicative: It's physically impossible to reset your sign-on by cell phone; apparently their programmers have never tried it. You can't type in your birth date; you have to scroll to it. In entering insurance information, you have to enter the carrier's mailing address. Medicare is a selection from their menu, but Quest apparently doesn't communicate with them any better than with their customers. Even if you've identified a primary insurance carrier, it doesn't come up as a default when making an appointment, and even when you enter the name, it doesn't draw your ID number from your record. Finally, when Quest cannot fulfill existing appointments, they have no way of notifying patients; you just have to drive there to find out. (I found out, having eventually reached a human at their central office, that Quest is supposed to notify you when they can't make appointments. Experience says that they just don't.)

Four days ago I had ordered labs done. I signed a denial form that a test not be done, as I have to do the identical test in a month, in order for a procedure to be done within three weeks from that future test. Quest ran this test anyway. It is expensive. I took my results down (which even showed "patient refused some tests") to the lab on July 31. They acknowledged it was Quest's mistake, and told me I had to call customer service, billing, etc. It has been a total nightmare. I am furious that Quest dumps THEIR error on me, and no one is helpful except to "call back" when they get the billing. They can't even be intelligent enough to flag my record to NOT bill me when the bill IS received/ processed at their billing department! I HAVE to call back, stay on impossible holds, etc. Not impressed.

We are at the site in Wimauma and the board does not give a number. The nurse does not know people's name and is rude. Get better people to work with seniors.

I had bookwork done on 4-17-23. They had to take 10 tubes of blood. It took quite a while. The nurse tied off my arm and began. The nurse did not remove the tourniquet after the stick. On the 6th tube the blood flow almost stopped so she pulled the needle and stuck another vein, with tourniquet still tied tight. She still could not get blood to flow but after a several minutes she finally got enough for number 7. She could only get a small amount for number 8. I told her I was about to pass out. She kept trying with tourniquet still tight. When I realized it, I passed out before I could speak up. When I woke, the tourniquet was off. The got me some water and let me recover. Then another nurse took the last two tubes from my other arm. She released the tourniquet right after the stick and finished the draw with no issue. I believe I passed out due to lack of blood flow for that long period of time with the tourniquet tight. I also read afterward that it can taint the sample. Also can possibly even cause DVT, heart attack and even death. I feel lucky that didn’t happen. Hope I don’t have to go back and do it all over.

I came in and sat for 15 minutes, nowhere does it say to sign in for drop offs. The long haired lady was very snippy and made me sign in. Signed in and waited another 10 minutes and had to leave. Maybe let patients know they have to sign in just to do a drop off they told you to bring back in the morning.

There is no longer a receptionist or any staff available for patients in the waiting room. You sign in on a tablet that may or may not work depending upon the day. No information on wait time is provided. In the past, I have been told to knock if I need to speak to someone. My last visit I knocked on the front desk window and was scolded for doing so. I explained I had been told to knock, but they replied knocking on the window wasn’t allowed- only on the door. I suggested signs posted in the waiting room would be helpful to waiting patients, but I was informed they were told to take the signs down because Quest felt they were unprofessional. Sadly, their current system with no receptionist is already unprofessional. A take a number system, along with showing the number currently being served would be more efficient and considerate to waiting patients than what they are currently doing.

This is listed as a new location. I am original medicare with geha secondary and a lab card. Got my appointment and results. It shows I had not fasted but I did some 24 hours and reported on the kiosk for cmp test. The techs took no insurance cards and quickly did the test , my wife said I didn't need to give cards as the doctor's office sends it to them. I have used quest for over 10 years but they continue to send me a bill and say I don't have a record of insurance coverage on file . I have used quest websites that keeps sending me in circles in attempts to update insurance to no avail . I was told by the tech I was so close to closing almost missed my appointment . I replied that I was there a half our with the kiosk in the lobby . Trying to input insurance and other data that never accepted my medicare or geha lab cards. But I did get serviced and my results but I expect I will get a bill maybe around 2000.00 and have to do as I did in the past to clean it up .
