I had an appointment at 12:00 which I scheduled several days in advance and arrived at Quest at 11:55 and waited in the waiting room. I had already check in for my appointment. I saw I was next on the board. Another person was called in who was not listed on the board, then another person called. I told the phlebotomist that I was next on the board and she stated, "I see that you are here." Then three more people were called in whose name were not on the board. I pick this Quest because when my appointments are scheduled in advance, I never wait long. When I inquired about the incident I was gaslighted. It was obvious to me that for some reason they were taking walk-ins ahead of scheduled customers.

The phlebotomist had a terrible attitude. I have very very tiny veins and always ask for a butterfly needle when getting my blood drawn. She ignored my request and was about to use the regular thick needle and I asked her to please use a butterfly. Her response was a surly "Why?" I said because I'm asking you to that's why. She first claimed to not have any butterflies but then found one. She was rude and uncaring. I have had other experiences like this at Quest Diagnostics Stamford. Worker morale seems to be at an all time low.

The good news: The wait time was nil. Because the doctor didn't indicate a "diagnosis" for the blood test, the nurse worked with me as I called the Doc's office to clarify. The bad news; The phlebotomist/nurse did a painful, terrible job leaving me with an edema and hematoma in both of my arms since she failed to find my vein in the first attempt. I had a condition that required weekly IVIg infusions for 7 years, so this isn't my first rodeo. Never did a nurse EVER have difficulty finding my vein, and never did they root around while the needle was still in hoping they miraculously tap into them. It's been a week since the blood test and the hematomas are even worse, my left arm is tender to any impact or touch although after 7 days the swelling is now subsiding. Any organization that employs thousands of people regularly always gets a bad one now and then. Still, training also has to be an essential part of it and a phlebotomist should never, ever root around with a needle. Just withdraw and find a different vein. As I write this it's still difficult to rest my forearm on the table as I type.

I was scheduled for 11:20 a.m. and scheduled to be done by 11:35. It was after that that I asked the lady next to me if she had an appointment; she said that no, she was a walk-in so we figured I must be next. Nope, the lady went before me. I was done just before noon and not happy at all. I had scheduled this during a lunch break and had to be back at work at noon and still had to eat something since, of course, I had fasted for 12 hours for this. I expected more and was very disappointed. False advertising.

If you’re dropping off a specimen sample, please make an appointment. I waited more than an hour and a half to do just that. Quest Diagnostics in Tallahassee, Florida off of Mahan Drive needs to rethink its policy for dropping off specimens. If all of the information and the samples are there, the person dropping it off should not have to wait, or have an appointment for them to accept the package, log the specimen and patient information in, and process it. Thank you to Ms. Andrea who finally recognized it was a dropoff and took it. This is a problem seeking a solution.

I went to the 2 Executive Drive in Albany, NY location. Never having had a drug test before, I went in with a hoodie with sleeveless body suit underneath with a baseball cap on. I was informed I had to take my off the cap which was fine, as well as the hoodie which would have also been fine except, I was brought into the hallway with other people waiting to be seen in the lounge nearby without the hoodie! Additionally, I was made to sign documents in front of a window whose blinds were closed except for the window I was placed in front off having a clear view of the parking lot which meant everyone could see within as well. It felt intentional. Again, no other blind was open. Why are people expected to know what to expect or how to dress? Why would someone think they’d have to undress? BIG EPIC FAIL! I will be sure to make everyone aware not to use Quest Diagnostics!

I had used Quest Diagnostics for all my lab work in Colorado and now in Arizona. I would purchase a test(s) and make an appointment with the local lab. Every 4-6 months for the last year and a half in AZ. This last time I purchased over $300 of bloodwork and went to make my appointment but not one lab in my area. I was surprised. Now my Quest profile/account know where I am and where I go. No alert to let me know there where NO labs within 100 miles of my address. The lab that I used to use isnt listed. There is no list. Not one lab. Why did their site do that? I sent two separate emails asking for assistance. The first one immediately and the second a few days later. I did get the auto responses for each one but no other direct contact was received. I did explain in both emails that I just needed to cancel my order and get a refund. (They charge a $20 cancelation fee.) I even gave them my order #. No response and that was over a week ago. Chat didn't work. I can't hear much so calling is just frustrating but it was either after hours or busy. I finally went through the online support help desk and submitted a "ticket" explaining everything again with all the needed details. I received a note directing me to call biling. I feel like they are avoiding me and don't want to refund my money. I understand that they will supposedly refund my $ after 60 days ..but damn I shouldn't have to wait any longer for something that they could never fulfill. Other labs have easy cancelation proceses and no stupid fees. Please note I never made an appointment (I couldnt). I am only cancelling my order for the bloodwork... not the actual appointment to get my blood drawn. I have to call again and again for a cancel/refund I should be able to do online. I can with my new lab. They don't take payment till after I have made an appointment with a lab. Quest makes you pay before you can even search for a lab. It just seems shady. They didn't use to be this way. Avoid.
