Have used Quest for years but there is a possible HIPPA violation that was concerning. On a Saturday appointment, an employee was in the waiting area trying to determine who had been served and who hadn’t. She pointed to each person in waiting room and said exactly what they were there for in order to distinguish them from new arrivals. Seemed like a breach of confidentiality.

I scheduled an appointment and arrived 4 minutes late. (Parked) By the time I walked in, found the office and sat down, I was 6 minutes late but seated in the waiting room waiting for a check in kiosk to be available. By the time the check in kiosk was available, and I answered the questions on it, I was 12 minutes late. They said I needed to reschedule because I was late and they only allow a 10 minute grace period and they were busy. I can’t stand the arrogance of the medical field,an anybody else’s. It’s OK for us to wait 20, 30, 45 minutes (or more!!) but they can’t work with us if we’re two minutes past the “10 min grace period”. They have set the system up where they can blame it on the computer. It’s 1030 and I’ve been fasting since last night.They don’t give a $hit.

Scheduling process is awful. My doctor told me that I need an 8am blood draw. Timing is crucial. No 8am appointments available. Nothing until 11. “Walk-ins welcome”. I showed up at 7:40 and waited outside for them to open. Second in the door and second checked in. (The first was a walk in as well). No one came out to take the first patient until 8:10 (surprise! The 8:10 patient was there for their appointment!! So we got skipped for a coffee break??). The waiting room filled up and I had to get back to work. I guess we’ll try another lab on another day. Hey- Corporate?? Fix this process. Or add more staff. You’re losing business and when I got here your rating was 1.6 stars, so my two star rating is actually going to RAISE your awful score.

While competent to draw blood, the tech was cold, dismissive and apparently doesn't think older people are worth smiling at or being pleasant to.

I go to the Doctor like every 4 months and she wants me to get blood work done every time. So wtf....how did my payment go from 40 for 88...in 4 months...they give the results in 3 days....how is it they charge me 88...then don't charge someone else...I should not have to pay more so someone else does not have to pay anything...it's ridiculous...

My expertise with the staff at quest was wonderful. My only issue is that Quest diagnostics saves debit/credit card information and automatically deducts money after the insurance has paid their portion. This has happened to me once before. During my recent visit on 3/24/25, I was told that my payment to be made was $16.26, a balance from previously and that it had to be paid in order for services to be done. I specifically explained to the lab technician that I did not want my card to be saved on file. She told me that it wouldn’t be and that it was only for the current payment. May 2, 2025, there was a deduction of $82.16 from Quest Diagnostics. I have called and was told that I had given preauthorization to have card on file. Not true. They say that the customer is always right but in this case they are telling me I said what I didn’t say and that there is nothing that they can do. Please, if Quest is your designated lab source or you are aware of elderly family members who are designated to go there, please make them aware of Quest Diagnostics tactics.

It felt more like a retail store than a medical laboratory. The agent drawing my blood looked at the online order from my doctor and, without any context, immediately asked, “What credit card will you be using today? Your patient responsibility is $...” It was 6:30 AM, I was fasting, and barely able to process what she was saying. This happened at the Clearwater Countryside branch on McMullen Booth Road. good thing I refused to pay. I just received my insurance claims, and it turns out everything was covered—I owe nothing. It's absurd how things are going these days...

Understaffed and rude. This area is densely populated and you would think they’d staff it so they could offer some vague level of service. Appointments rarely available and walkin process is a joke. CEO and CX Experience Executives who run this place should all be fired. Sucks. The whole thing. Just money hungry … 17th street - Ft Lauderdale location.
