Hepatitis false positives
My rheumatoid arthritis doctor had me go to quest diagnostic for a blood test to change my medication. The results came out that I had hepatitis A and hepatitis B infections. I had a second and third blood test the next two months to see if it changed. It did not. It showed I still had both infections. I was then sent to a specialist at the University of Chicago who ran those blood tests and many more to analyze having hepatitis A and hepatitis B. All of the blood test turned out negative, showing I had never had hepatitis a or hepatitis B. I would not recommend this lab due to all of the false positives. I have contacted quest diagnostic to see why this may have been. They have not reached out to me.
