Quest Diagnostics tried to charge both my insurance company and me for my bill. I called my insurance company when I got my bill because I didn't know why it wasn't covered, and my insurance agent informed me that they had already paid the bill. This was not a miscommunication-- my insurance agent was not happy with Quest, at all. This was deliberate.

They are a nightmare to deal with. Used Quest initially through CVS who quoted me the wrong price. After what ended up being over $700, I spoke with my primary care doctor who negotiated the bill down to around a quarter of that. I had already paid about half with my credit card at CVS, but after around 3 months of both me and my doctor calling Quest, we managed to get a refund for the amount that I already paid. I thought everything was squared away, but months later, they are still trying to bill me for the same service. Their customer service is useless as apparently there are separate systems for the doctor and patient side, and they evidently aren't able to communicate with each other. They tell my doctor that everything is good to go (but don't do anything) and they tell me that they see no record of what I'm talking about despite multiple calls and evidence. Took forever to get an agent that even pretended to try and help but after putting me on hold for over 40 minutes, she just hung up on me. I just don't understand why they would send me a check refund for $328.89 only to bill me for $380.21 months later for the same service. I feel like they're just trying to arbitrarily charge me at this point.

I would give zero stars for the review, but it won't let you. I have been really sick and went there for some bloodwork. After not hearing anything for a week, I requested my lab work online. After not hearing anything back for another week, I called them. The person on the phone said that some of the tests were completed, but some were not. So I asked for the completed tests and they said they could not do that. To make things worse, when I finally did get the results back, they didn't even perform six of the most important tests that I went there for to be performed in the first place. So I had to go back to this place and do it all over again. I put in a request last week to obtain my second set of lab results that just came back denied. So here we are, 34 days later, still really sick and waiting for the lab results. Avoid this place at all costs!!!

If an award of minus 1000 stars were possible, that's what Quest deserves! Incompetence and bad manners must be requirements for people working for Quest to get a job. Just on the phone -- AGAIN! -- for 45 minutes. Blood drawn on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 on orders from three MDs. Results for one MD appear in my portal for Main Line Health. No results reported in my Quest portal. Why not? Clearly, Quest did the lab processing work for one of the MDs and the other two MDs needed many of the same tests. Why are there no results in the Quest portal? I have a very important appointment with one of the ordering MDs on Monday at 11AM. The trip to see her is 100 miles and she needs lab results in order to make decisions on treatment then. Were the results of her orders sent to her? Quest's supervisor refused to say. What remedy to this information silence did she suggest? That I should go back to the lab which did the draw and ask them. Which, of course, completely ignores the obvious fact that the results for one MD are in his portal and none are in the Quest portal. When that discrepancy was pointed out to her, she said she could not find any information that Quest had done lab work processing on February 9th. If that was true -- and, obviously, it was not -- then how did one MD get test results which were reported to him? She had no reply to that. Her solution: she hung up on me. It's after 5PM on a Friday afternoon and the chances of me finding out whether my MD has the results she wanted for Monday's visit are zero. So I have a choice due to Quest's incompetence: drive the 100 miles to learn that the MD doesn't have the test results and can't make a therapy plan or cancel the appointment and wait about three months for a new appointment while continuing on therapy which may not be optimal and might be destructive. Quest supervisor hangs up on an individual whose health insurance pays her salary? Solution to that: complaint letter goes to the Department of Health and Human Services in Harrisburg, PA, the state agency responsible for oversight of medical providers in the Commonwealth. Quest should not have a license to provide laboratory services if it cannot provide test results to the ordering MD as well as make them known to the patient on a timely basis. Incompetence risks lives. From my experience -- and all of the comments I've seen from others here and elsewhere -- it's time Quest's license is revoked.

AWFUL place to try to work with. Called them five times a day for weeks to get a bill settled. They sent it off to collections. Lack of their communication. Charged me 1,024 without even informing me. NEVER go through them. They think it’s okay to ignore you about your concern. I was NEVER informed of having to pay 1,024 for this company. Not even at anycare in lebanon, TN. All anycare told me was that I was going to have to pay $90 for my visit. When quest finally answered this morning they said they don’t do settlements. They rip you off and they don’t care. How sorry they should be. This is ridiculous. I feel as if I was lied to and businesses should not be okay with this. They don’t even have reliable employees working for them. I’d appreciate it if they could settle the amount since it’s not fair I was charged this without being notified on the phone or in person.

Worst treatment ever. You have to put on your humiliation hat on when you walk in there. I had to wait a week for the next available appointment. I got to my 7:10am appointment early at 6:30am. At 6:45 I realized I left my paper work at home. I live 5 min away. My husband send me a picture of the lab work and was also on his way to bring me the paper work. I beg them to let another patient that was there with a later appointment to go first. This was unacceptable to them. My husband got there at 7:20 am but my appointment was removed. I spoke to the staff to please let me get the lab work done and not to cancel me. 😧😪 I rescheduled, waiting time 1 week!!! They are not human… I had a test the next day to r/o neuropathy and the Doctor needed this lab result. 😪

I’ve had nothing but issues when attempting to pay for lab work with this company. First I signed up for payment plan in November to pay monthly. I got an email confirming the plan. 2 months go by and then I receive a bill? Even though I signed for the payment plan. I signed into my account (which is alway glitchy and needs to be refreshed) and the plan I signed up for disappeared?? So I tried to sign up again. As I was paying the site glitched and crashed. I didn’t get an email saying a payment went through and it wasn’t taken out of my bank account. So 30 minutes after I signed up and signed up for a payment plan again. Got an email this time with payment plan info and receipt. The next day I check my bank balance and both payments were taken out! So it messed with my budget and I was -$50 negative for rent. Ridiculous. When I called to ask for a refund for one of the payments they told me they could only see one of the payments (how convenient) and that it would take 2 weeks to investigate! 2 weeks?? 2 weeks go buy and I don’t get any updates or a refund. When I called today (almost 3 weeks after it has happened) I got a completely different answer than I did two weeks ago. “We can’t issue a refund if you have a balance.” Avoid this company if you can. Glitchy payment system and website. Confusing practices and representatives.
