Terrible Customer Service
I would give 0 stars if I could, I had basic annual labs done and received a bill from quest for the full amount, the bill stated that my insurance information could not be verified. I called quest to see what the problems was and to make sure my insurance info was entered correctly, I spoke with a woman who said I did not have an active policy, although I was certain I did. I called insurance where my coverage was verified, insurance gave me a reference ID # for the call and said to give it to quest, have quest call them and give them that ID # and they could verify coverage for them. I called quest back and spoke to different woman. Both of the ladies from quest verified my member ID more than once. I told her was insurance said to do and told her I had a reference number for her, she stated she could not make outbound calls but I could call insurance and then conference quest in on the call. I told her I would go ahead and conference insurance in while I had her on the line due to my insurance being easy to get ahold of. Insurance verified my coverage verbally but said she would transfer us to physician services to get them the info they needed sent to them, while we were waiting the quest employee said she could not be on the phone any longer and that I would have to have insurance call her. About that Time, the next person we were waiting to speak with from insurance picked up and asked the quest employee her tax Id #, the quest employee stated she did not have that handy, stated she thinks there was a number left off of the member ID even though it had been verified multiple times, and ended up ending the call with insurance and stated she would try to run it through them again. It should not be this difficult to verify insurance coverage when they had the correct information to start with. An individual should not have to take matters into their own hands when it comes to connecting quest with insurance when they can use a phone just as easy as I can. Quest customer service is hateful, hard to deal with, and sound miserable with their job.

Would not recommend this location
The location I went to is the most administratively incompetent place I have ever been for bloodwork. Should have been easy as pie to get pre op bloodwork, have it faxed to my surgeon and the end. But it wasn’t. Called multiple times, long hold times and then disconnected twice; called back and had to start over 3 times with 3 different people. Are there no system notes regarding patient calls???!! Surgeons order was not done, but pcp and rheumatologist orders done and was told those could be used. Their customer service skills are just so subpar it’s like a comedy of errors; would be funny if it weren’t a few days from the surgery. A mess. Would not recommend this location. Best thing about this visit was that the phlebotomist was great…needle in and out with one go, and no bruising afterwards. Otherwise a paperwork cluster that a patient shouldn’t be involved in.

QUEST is charging UPFRONT $50 even w/…
QUEST is charging UPFRONT $50 even w/ insurance. My husband was asked to pay $50 and he thought he had to! We only owed $2.25.
Beware: You do NOT have to upfront pay especially when you have insurance.
The reason the techs ask is because the more money they bring in the bigger their bonuses.

The girl that works at the quest on pioneer in the tom thumb store needs to be fired .very disrespectful. This store is in mesquite texas. She had plenty of time between appointments to do a walk in customer. I know appointments have first serve be SHE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO DRAW BLOOD. I BELIEVE IT WAS ALL BECAUSE WE WERE WHITE PEOPLE. VERY USELESS GIRL.

Got kicked out before closing time
We arrived 15 min before closing in an urgent situation. Waited 5 min before anyone greeted us, wasting another 5 minutes previous time. When the tech came out she said with no order she couldn’t take a simple urine test. My doctor was on standby for the phone call and unlike Quest, they actually respond. She ushered us out and locked the door. It was not yet 5 pm.
Now the next morning we arrived at 6 am, yet couldn’t get an appointment til 10:40. We tried to explain that my husband had to per NOW. I get the appt system but urgency must take precedence at times!
