I walked into the Wilmington, NC clinic to get lab tests ordered and sent there by my doctor in advance. My wait was short as there were never more than 2 people in the waiting room in the half hour I was there. I have no complaint about my service, however I was told that in the future there would no longer be any service for walk-ins. Appointment only. That is why I gave a 2 rating. The best thing about Quest is the ability to walk-in.

I got new insurance and needed at ask a question as well to book an appointment. Got all twisted up in the automated system because they said they could not find the carrier. I tried to get someone on the phone and had to wait out 12 minutes worth of automated stuff that had nothing to do with what I was trying to do. I was so frustrated I hung up. I googled a phone number for customer service that gave me a person and they picked up right away, found my insurance carrier and made the appointment in 3 minutes. HATED the automated service. Don't like most but this one is especially a hair tearing out experience with no option to speak with someone if none of the long and unnecessary choices they give you.

I use Quest because for the most part they're reliable. Usually the staff is competent and friendly. However what turned me off about Quest today was that I made appointment at the lad that is in a close Safeway store because it's less than a mile from my house. My test is specific in that I need to fast from the night before. So my appointments are scheduled early in the morning. We'll when I got there this morning THEY WERE CLOSED! And had been for 2 weeks. I was never notified so now I need to make an appointment with an INCONVENIENT location 3 weeks out!

I needed a very simple test. It should’ve been very easy: order a test online, pay and schedule an appointment. Instead, i had to call their customer service (wasn’t helpful) and walk to the lab to confirm if they offer the test. You should be able to pick a specific test online and not “all other tests”, schedule an appointment and hope the location you chose perform The test you need. I tried to call the location but apparently if you need to speak with the customer service you’ll be transferred to their national line. They weren’t helpful either and suggested I go online and schedule online. When I explain there is no way to find out if that location performs the test I need, the agent offered I go to the doctors office instead. Why is it so complicated?

test was on nurse that took my blood had telephone bud in her ear and was on the phone talking through her mask the whole time she was suppose to be communicate with me did not know if she was talking to me or the person on the other end of the line. Wellington, Fl. office

This is coming from someone who used to work in a lab and who worked in healthcare for over 30 years. I had the most IMPERSONAL lab experience I've ever encountered for a couple of reasons. 1) Upon entering, you are not greeted by a person because all you see are two doors with keypads and there is no front desk staff. You sign in at a computer kiosk and are offered the choice to wait in the waiting room and look for your name on a screen or you can sit in your car and be texted when it's your turn. Too bad, so sad if you have questions, are elderly and cannot navigate the kiosk, or don't text! 2) The staff are not at all friendly (at least mine wasn't). No "how are you?" or any kind of small talk to put me at ease. Just you have a balance, we need your card and where are your orders? Not even a thank you, good bye, or have a nice day when she was done. Customer service has truly gone disappeared from our healthcare system or at least from Quest labs!

Local personnel are very nice, but the company has a complete in ability to receive feedback. It asks for insurance data but then doesn’t share that with the phlebotomist so it’s a waste of time for everyone. When you try to tell quest diagnostics this input, it gives you the runaround in a computer generated response. I can’t give more than two stars to any company that doesn’t actually want to hear feedback because it shows they don’t really care about their own efficiency or product

Made an appointment (don't know why) appointment was 7:30, arrived 7:20 no other patients in waiting room, a few minutes later another person arrived who did not have an appointment. Did not see any personnel while I was waiting, I assume they must have been talking in an office. The other patient was getting annoyed because she was waiting also, finally at 7:40 they call me and the other patient. So why did I need any appointment? Clearly it is annoying when you have an appointment, and someone who doesn't have any appointment is called at the same time. Plus they were not friendly at all. Attitude.
