UNJUSTIFIED CHARGES, MISLEADING SALES PROMISES, AND NO ACCOUNTABILITY. My experience with PurePay, Merchant Lynx, and My Tax Preparer Office has been terrible. I signed up with PurePay after My Tax Preparer Office recommended the service and explained its benefits, assuring me that my business would not pay additional fees because the 3.5% processing charge would be paid by the customer. However, I have been charged $1,149.67, even though my service has been suspended for over two months and my platform is inactive. I have been billed for services I do not use, including a recurring $29.99 warranty fee for physical equipment I never received. I was also charged a $495 Early Termination Fee, even though I never requested cancellation and my signed agreement lists that fee as $0.00. PurePay admitted in writing that the charge was an error and promised a refund. More than ten days have passed, and I still have not received my money. What makes this even worse is that PurePay now claims Merchant Lynx is my processor. When I reviewed my agreement, I found PurePay and Esquire Bank, but no express identification of Merchant Lynx as my processor on the pages they referenced. PurePay redirects me to Merchant Lynx, and Merchant Lynx has not provided an effective resolution. My Tax Preparer Office has been equally disappointing. They recommended the service and promoted its benefits, but when problems arose, a supervisor simply told me it was not their responsibility and that I needed to contact PurePay. Three companies passing responsibility back and forth while my money remains unrefunded. My Tax Preparer Office is losing me as a customer because they promoted this service without providing meaningful support when problems occurred. I have completely lost trust in all three companies and no longer wish to maintain a business relationship with any of them. I do not recommend this service. My experience has been misleading, irresponsible, and deeply disrespectful to business owners.

It was advertised that this merchant payment system would NOT cost my business anything because my customer would being paying for their transaction fees. A few months later, with no notice, Purepay may an unauthorized debit from my checking account in the amount of $235.89! I contacted them twice by phone and the first representative told me that she would look into it and that there would be a return of funds. That never happened. Instead, I received an invoice AFTER the unauthorized transaction showing "miscellaneous" charge, as well as 5 more bogus "fees." I then called Purepay again and a different rep stated that I can "request" a half-refund. I told them that I will be reporting this unauthorized debit to the State Attorney General's office and BBB and to close my Purepay account! This is theft!
