The process was really good, especially since I started later than I should have. I had an idea of what I wanted as the foundation of my personal statement, but not as clear about the direction. When I came to Prompt, Emily helped me elaborate the idea I had and make it a stronger essay. She was super helpful and struck a good balance of constructive feedback and listening to what I wanted to do. Altogether, I found my experience valuable.

I had a great experience with Prompt! I did the express service and received feedback within a few hours! My editor wrote an outline for the structure of my paper at the beginning and then provided detailed editing throughout. The outline helped me see my main points and understand where my paper was going, and the detailed editing helped with grammar and concision. My editor was very professional and provided amazing feedback! I did two rounds of express feedback to get my paper to where I wanted it, and I was very happy with the final result. I would definitely use this service again.

Overall it went very well. It's one thing for my parents or teachers to read my essays but I found it really useful to work with someone who has a lot of experience and is well-versed in this kind of writing. Michael, my writing coach, was really really good. Initially I was worried about balancing our video calls and written feedback, but I found his feedback and comments very helpful and encouraging. He taught me how to write compelling college essays. Although he supported me with my top 3 schools, I felt empowered to write other essays as well. He helped me understand how to do this specific type of writing which is something I'll take with me to college and beyond.

I thought the process was really good and helpful for me! I came into this process having already written a draft of a personal statement that I felt good about. I consider myself a strong writer but I know that college essay writing is very different from English class assignments. When I started working with Rose, we built out a whole new personal statement that I felt made more sense with a clearer purpose. After submitting my first drafts, I wasn't expecting so much feedback and it was overwhelming at first. But when I looked into the details, the comments definitely helped me make it more concise and organized, and the process taught me a lot about how I can improve my writing. I don't think my main essays would have been so polished otherwise.

It was really good to work with Prompt. The main thing I struggle with is keeping up and pacing myself to the deadline so it was good to have someone hold me accountable to budget time on improving my essays. All of Cassandra's comments were really useful. It was actionable and guided me towards making improvement faster, especially with the quick turnaround. The video coaching was great because we went over each of the prompts and created a strategy for tackling them.

I really enjoyed working with Prompt. Writing is not my strong suit and initially I felt a lack of direction across the board. It was very helpful that the feedback organizes my ideas to make sure it positions me the right way. I also really liked engaging with the modules which helped me determine what content to focus on. I don't have anything negative to say about working with Bayli. She was very helpful to help me communicate things that I wanted to say and organize my jumbled thoughts into a cohesive essay. After each draft, there were very clear steps and directions to make it better. I might have potentially benefitted from having more calls with her. It was overall really helpful!

Prompt was really helpful for my son's essays. Specifically, I appreciate Heather's work to get to know my son well enough to make thoughtful insights on things he didn't even think to put in his essays. When my son needed some extra help at the end of the process, we appreciate that Prompt was able to pull in editors for extra help. Their feedback was invaluable.

Honestly I really enjoyed the process with Prompt. I started with an individual review and realized that I benefited more from working with one coach. Jackie and I talked about my goals and developed a plan during our coaching calls. She knew me so well across all of my essays and that really made the process a lot easier. My issue is that I write too much so it was great to get her support on cutting things down. Her turnaround time was really fast which was really helpful because I sometimes ran close to the deadline. As Jackie learned my strengths, she was able to help me come up with new ideas seamlessly. I got into my 1st choice dream school NYU!
