Authors Beware
Authors Beware: Repeated Errors, Delays, and Lack of Accountability As an author, I feel obligated to warn others about my experience with this publishing company. The handling of my book, Your “god” Is Not Good Enough Too, revealed a pattern of repeated errors, missed deadlines, and a concerning lack of professionalism that other authors should be aware of before investing their time or money. My book was published two months past the agreed deadline. Throughout the process, I was passed between five different representatives, resulting in inconsistent communication and ongoing mistakes. My book had to be unpublished three separate times due to errors made by the team — not by me. The most serious issue involved the repeated alteration of the lowercase “god” to “God,” despite my manuscript being correctly formatted when submitted and despite my clear instructions. This distinction is central to the message of my book. Changing it fundamentally alters the meaning, misrepresents my position, and damages my credibility as an author. This was not a one‑time oversight; it happened multiple times. The problems did not end there. The company failed to send my cover and book description to Barnes & Noble, leaving my book unpublished on their platform. They also did not complete the required steps for all versions on IngramSpark, causing further delays and preventing full distribution. When I attempted to resolve these issues professionally, my concerns were ignored or met with minimal concessions. At no point did the company take full ownership of the mistakes or demonstrate the level of care expected in a professional publishing environment. For authors who value accuracy, consistency, and respect for their creative work, I strongly recommend exercising caution. My experience reflects a breakdown in quality control, communication, and accountability that no author should have to endure.
