PrimeStar PublishersReviews of primestarpublishers.com

I will no longer work with this company or any other company like it. These companies are frauds. You pay them a huge amount of money to help you publish a book and the services they promise are never received. The only thing that they were capable of doing was formatting my manuscript. This company and companies like theirs do not edit your manuscript appropriately. I would recommend that you use companies like fiverr, freelancers.com and Upwork. these companies allow you to hire your own freelances who can help you publish your book and usually they are a lot cheaper and you only pay when all the work is completed. This is how I ended up publishing my book. You have been warned. Good luck and I wish you the best if you work with this company.

Starting out I was leery of this company. I tried to ask all of the right questions. They LIED about everything. Every other phone call was them trying to get me to spend more money. They did very little work on my book and what they did do was horrific. They claim to be located in Los Angeles. I pressed them on this and finally found out that they don't even have an office there. They are located in UAE in the Middle East. They claim to be affiliated with AC McClurg. That company went out of business in the 1980's. When I brought this to their attention, they stuck to their story. I asked for the contact info for AC McClurg so I could verify this. They promised to send all of that information via email. I am still waiting for that email. They tried telling me that they publish 70,000 books a year. I informed them that would mean they put out 192 books a day 365 days a year. So hear is the breakdown... Austin Patrick - Everything he told me was a LIE!! Leon - Did nothing for my book and swore he was sitting in an office looking at Los Angeles through his window as we spoke. The little editing he did deliver was obviously done by someone who does not speak English well. Scott (Head supervisor) - Lied about where they were located. Tried to get me to spend another $14,000. When I was done with all of the BS, I asked for a refund. Scott told me he was approving my refund and I would have it by the end of the week. Two weeks later, I had to get my credit card company involved. They finally sent the refund and I received it a few days later. I am not saying this company is a scam but I am saying all they want is for you to spend more and more money. Use them at your own risk. Also they begged me not to leave this review. I feel people need to be aware of who they might be spending thousands of dollars with. If you use them and you are not happy, just file a dispute with you CC company or bank. You will probably get your refund faster.

Wish they'd been a bit more organized, to be honest. Had to repeat myself a couple times. Still, the final outcome wasn't bad, so I can't be too harsh.
