I have used insurance brokers from three different companies, and every single one of them was helpful, took the time to explain everything clearly, and made sure I understood what I was buying. That’s why I was so shocked by the terrible service I received from Mr Temu at Premium-Service Berlin. So much for “premium” service. I had to pay €50 in advance for this experience. His English was very poor, which is no real excuse these days — there are free online translators available, and I use them myself every day to write in languages I don’t speak. Communication was extremely unhelpful. One of his emails simply said: “the best offer is 85 € per year. Good?” He didn’t explain the policy, what was covered, the sums insured, or anything else. When I asked for details, he said he would only explain what the insurance covered after I had paid for it. I wrote back and made it clear that I would not buy any insurance until I understood what I was actually purchasing. He then sent me pages and pages of policy documents with no explanation whatsoever. I would have gotten better information from Google. It was very clear that Mr Temu did not care about his clients at all. When I emailed the company to say how unhappy I was with the service, their response was that Mr Temu wasn’t helpful because his English was bad. That is a terrible excuse. I was so relieved when I switched to C Schneider at Versicherungsbüro Weiss. The service I received from her was exceptional — she was friendly, thorough, explained everything in detail, and even organised a Zoom call to go through our questions. We bought several insurance policies from her, and we plan to use Versicherungsbüro Weiss for our other properties going forward. Importantly, I did not have to pay them €50 just to receive proper advice. I would strongly recommend C Schneider at Versicherungsbüro Weiss to anyone looking for reliable, professional insurance advice in Berlin. The difference in service was night and day.
