I bought a transmission from them and it didn't even last a year before my car was back in the transmission shop. I have to have it rebuilt now, which is what I should have just done from the beginning. I tried calling, emailing and texting, but no one has responded. Do not waste your money on preferautoparts.com!!!

Update to my review. Here we are 4 days later with more promises and LIES of when another transmission will be shipped. It was promised to ship on Wednesday 3.12.25. That was a LIE! My husband has requested a refund which hasnt happened either. Its been increasingly harder to reach CHRIS too. I highly suggest NOT using this man for used parts. He will call you and hound you until you buy from him and make promises of a 6 month warranty and not follow through. Ill also continue to leave reviews here so all will know how this ends. Next up is the BBB. Lisa Iguess

I couldn't be happier with my experience purchasing a used engine from Prefer Auto Parts! I ordered an engine for my 2016 Volkswagen Jetta, and from the moment it arrived, I knew I made the right choice. The engine was in fantastic condition, and installation went smoothly—no problems at all! A huge shout-out to Ted, who was incredibly helpful in finding the perfect engine for my car. His knowledge and support made the process easy and stress-free. I will definitely be recommending Prefer Auto Parts to all my friends and family for any engine or transmission needs. Great service, great team, and great product!
