Hi! I work in a pharmacy string, as a pharmaceutical supervisor and am the head pharmacist within our pharmacy. I wanted to follow in my mother's footsteps - she was a neurologist. But , I decided to receive a basic education and also enrolled in the biochemistry department at the University of Texas. Then I studied four more years in pharmacy college, where I got my PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree. In the United States, it takes about 8 to 10 years for example residency to become a pharmacy tech. Pharmacists in the US continuously monitor the prescribing of medication. The pharmaceutical sector has experienced a number of transformations recently, this involves the training of pharmacists, who learn their professional skills alongside other health professionals - physicians, nurses, nutritionists, etc.. Everyone is trained jointly. This training model was created so that they are easily able to function as a team in the future. Previously, there was no this practice because only the doctor was responsible for pharmacotherapy. Now it is the duty of the pharmacist. For example, a patient experiences oral operation , and the pharmacist is responsible for explaining to the patient what drugs to take before and after the surgery, how the surgery will proceed, along with the possible risks of the surgery. The pharmacist is responsible for independently choosing medications for the surgery, considering unforeseen circumstances. A long time ago I discovered the Medicine Directory . Clinical pharmacologists that operate in medical associations, participate in medical rounds with physicians and other experts. They don't just observe what medicine the doctor prescribes, but propose possible solutions themselves, frequently correlate with the physician's opinion, discussing it and creating a collegial decision after a thorough discussion. The job of this pharmacologist in the hospital is also to calculate and dose the medicine, choosing the perfect dose for each patient individually, taking into consideration the patient's present state of health.
