This used to be good but in past 6 months has become very poor and basically a scam at this point. They send survays that ask for qualifying questions that give them the data they need, but then they tell you you dont qualify so dont get paid even though you have spent 15 mins answering questions. Disgusting way to treat people who have been loyal to them for years.

A bad survey site
I started doing Pinecone Research Surveys 18 years ago and always considered them to be one of the very best sites. Then earlier this year they launched their new web site and rules. I went to redeem my points in February and the PayPal option, which I had always used, is no longer available, so I had to chose a reward that is of no use to me. They also have a new rule that if you don't claim your points within one year you lose them. So if you don't receive enough surveys, or get screened out, you could end up not being paid for the work you've done. As the ratings on here indicate, it's gone from one of the best to one of the worst and I would recommend that you don't waste your time.

Pinecone Research surveys are a scam
Pinecone Research surveys are a scam, and I’m certain of this based on my experience. If you complain about it, they will manipulate your account, preventing you from taking any more surveys.
The high number of negative reviews this company has on Trustpilot and other review sites provides ample evidence to support everything I’m telling you here.
Let's start with the surveys. You're given, say, a 10-minute survey with a monetary value. Nine minutes into the survey, you're cut off. You suddenly get an error message. You're disconnected from the survey.
This happened regularly to me. I switched browsers, thinking it was a browser issue. Then I started reading about other people having the same issue. It seems like the sponsor giving the survey gets enough information from you and then cuts you off before your survey is complete, so you don't get paid.
I would complain to Pinecone Research regularly about this. At first, they would compensate me for the lost survey points. But then, as the problems became more frequent, I asked them why this was happening and if I would be wasting my time continuing to do these surveys. They wouldn't respond.
Next, after complaining, I noticed that every survey offered to me became immediately unavailable when I clicked on it. This happened seconds after the survey appeared in my email. It became apparent that Pinecone Research had manipulated my account so that I could no longer take surveys or use the points they had given me.
When I wrote and asked them why this was happening, they refused to respond.
So, the bottom line is that you're going to waste a lot of your time dealing with Pinecone Research. Your surveys will be cut off before they are completed. If you ask to be compensated for your time, your account will be manipulated so you can no longer take surveys.

Disaster of a company
Disaster of a company. 4 of my last 6 surveys I have completed I have not been rewarded for. Get all the way to the end to be told don’t meet criteria or survey is full. When you make contact to query this you get generic replies say wait 3-5 days after completion or we don’t decide what criteria is. They are stealing our data and pocketing the money. Avoid at all costs.

Dissapointed and feel they are somewhat fraudulent.
I am very dissapointed in Pinecone research surveys. While they are interesting and I enjoy them, I either never qualify after spending up to 10 minutes before I am informed I not a fit what they are looking for. Unlike other surveys they do not give points if you don't qualify. I have been trying for just short of 2 years to actually reach the point of getting paid, but find it impossible as previous points will time out just about the time I have enough. I feel like they get a lot of information before they say you don't qualify, and I am also concerned that by asking you for a phone number that it is used for solicitations.

Don't Play Their Games They Rip You Off
I was going through the process of earning money while playing games. It involves some in game app purchases so that you can get through the levels you need to achieve to make money when you reach certain milestones. After investing some money and 2 weeks time into the game it disappears from the site. When I contact Pinecone they claim they have no record of my game. This has happened twice so I am done with them. Also, filing complaint with FTC since I paid money into the app they are promoting.

Ganz miese neue Masche.

Furchtbar...
