Use to be so good
It has to be said that Pinecone Research was one of my favorite survey websites. I have had over 5-7 years of experience in filling surveys with many major survey websites. Pinecone was very good, with regular payouts and low screen outs; so no real issues whatsoever. The problems arise when you inevitably come in contact with their support (or more accurately the lack of, I should say). It is abysmal. This, in my eyes, is where a company is worth their weight in gold. How you treat your customers is your chance to show your appreciation of them. My problem was with their new 'update' to their website (effective 2016). Basically, now when you log in, the website will dumbfoundedly ask you: "It looks like you haven't signed in from this device before.", then asking you to fill in a captcha. This is not the issue, but now when you go to 'Redeem' it will again ask for authentication, failing which your account is locked. Good luck getting past this. Emailing support will result in getting emails from a ghost employee, or company, or who knows who - telling you that they don't know who you are. Or telling you that your account is unlocked, when in reality it is not. Having waited 2 weeks (they say your account unlocks after 24 hours), and having sent over 10 emails in the space of 24 hour periods to varying confusing responses, I have to say that now I give up. Not only will they ignore you, but your track record of being a member (7 years for me) counts for nothing. Their online presence is nill (no social media, company pages, etc.). I'd stay away, because whatever you make on the website, good luck actually cashing it out. This company is a fantastic example of how not to treat your customers. Thanks, Pinecone.
