Buyer Beware
Buyer Beware – Shady Practices and Zero Accountability Pickers Paradise in Ivor, VA operates with a business model that’s as far from “paradise” as you can get. They knowingly sell broken items — from game consoles to furniture — without disclosing the defects, and when confronted, they refuse to exchange or refund anything. I purchased items represented as functional, only to find they were defective. When I brought this to their attention, the response was essentially: Once you’ve paid, it’s your problem. Fix it yourself. That’s not a “policy” — that’s passing off junk at full price and washing their hands of any responsibility. This isn’t a one-off misunderstanding; it’s a deliberate, repeatable pattern. Selling known defective merchandise without disclosure is not just bad customer service — it’s deceptive. There are plenty of other honest small businesses in the area that stand behind what they sell. Pickers Paradise isn’t one of them. If you value your money and your time, steer clear.
