I joined Phoenix Markets 6 months ago with the intention of learning my initial investment was £500. I was assigned a trading assistant who only pressured me to add more money. All the technical analysis from their trading central platform was only making me loss for months while making them profit through daily swap charges. After a couple of months of adding more fund my account was in danger another account manager took over requesting I add more money for him to save the account, I added a bit more but was just a continuation of the previous guy...so I stopped and closed my account. Be very careful they are scammers and are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

FCA Restrictions on Phoenix
The FCA have told them to shut all UK accounts and this is nothing to do with Brexit. I know this as i complained to FCA and received an email stating the restrictions on the company and they need to close all accounts by the 21 of May 2021.

Do not trade with Phoenix Markets
How this company has got so many stars on Trustpilot is beyond me.
From day one, all they did was ask for more and more money to be deposited, gave poor strategies, no training, no explanation to what they were telling me to do... then when my account got in such a state that I was destined to lose all my money, they then asked for more money to help me get out of the mess they had put me in. They gave very vague explanations when asked, and changed the subject as soon as they could. They lied about stories about other orders and couldn't even remember what the figures were they had told me from one day to the next, it changed every time. Finally, I had to call it a day and lost A LOT of money. I even had two reputable brokers look at my account online and both agreed that Phoenix should not be allowed to trade and give advice to people on trading. One even said the state of my account looked deliberate, with a lot of trades with large SWAP negative figures and the whole account was double directed, meaning I was never going to profit from a trade. If a buy trade went into profit, which was going to be hard with the large SWAP fees they had charged me, then the sell trade on the same stock would go even further into a negative. It was an impossible situation to get out of. The majority of the trades I was told to do where indices and crude oil and these all had large SWAP fees when they rolled over to the next day, and the next and the next... you get my drift. And who gets the SWAP fees? Phoenix of course. This company is scamming innocent people out of their hard earned money with a dream that you can make money with them and their trading methods... this is utter BS and I am living proof that they are out to make what they can for themselves no matter what the cost to us investors. DO NOT TRADE WITH THEM!!!!!

Phoenix markets
I was fairly new to trading and got on with Phoenix markets, they had me fill out a questionnaire to get an idea of my knowledge of trading and investing then set me up an account with an account manager who rang me very frequently (21 times in 2 weeks) and pressured me to put as much money in my account as possible, liquidise any other assets I had and even borrow money from family members to support my account and under my account managers advice lost 75% of my money which would have been 100% had I not pulled the plug when I did.
1) I don't understand the point of doing a questionnaire to show how little knowledge you have only to then advise you to put absolutely everything you can into your account.
2) I don't understand why they never decided to inform me of a practice account that they offer which would have been perfect for someone like me.
My personal opinion is that not only would I not recommend this company but I also can't tell the difference between Phoenix markets and what you'd expect from a scam.

My experience was not good I just intended to try trading with a small amount but was soon pressurised into putting more and more money into the the account which thanks to several poor trades was soon in trouble I doubt I am facing a big loss

Cordialement,
