COMPLETE RIPOFF - PRESIDENTS CUP SUITES TICKETS
Don't trust the PGA's ticket description if planning what you think will be a high-end experience at a PGA event... I purchased "Windy City Suites" tickets for Saturday & Sunday at the Presidents Cup (apprx $1500). What was supposed to be included was private suites and all-you-can eat/all-you-can-drink from high-end purveyors, including some of Chicago's best restaurants. We were told these restaurants would be serving upscale versions of Chicago food. While I appreciate the suites themselves and the beverage service, the food service is not at all as described. What we received was nothing more than low-level bar food, which included things like a tub of naked wings (not even salt and pepper) with sauces on the side and "cheeseburger dip." The cheeseburger dip looked worse than what came out of me the next morning. They also served what they said was brisket which sat in a troft that was filled to the top with grease. You bit into it and felt like you were drinking grease. Terrible. There were no restaurants on-hand and there were no restaurant names on the food placards. This was simply cheap food from a caterer. The quality of the food was extremely poor and completely outside of our expectations. We could have purchased captain’s club tickets (private area with beverage included but paid food) for half the price and paid for halfway decent food. The food element as it was described was one of the main reasons we paid such a high price for tickets. This is unacceptable, disappointing and embarrassing for the PGA.
