Very rude and unprofessional! I applied, and they accepted my application. The mentor gave me some learning material and told me to study. Two weeks later, I emailed him that I had completed the material. I never hear back from the mentor. I applied again. They rejected my application because I had no portfolio. I had a portfolio with multiple projects added to my resume. I told them my portfolio is in my resume you have to look better to find it. I never heard back from them.

Might be worth it for someone just starting out, but the cost is too high based on what is being offered. I would recommend avoiding them.

Unfortunately, this service is not as advertised. I submitted an application and within 24 hours received a canned reply that stated I didn't have enough technical experience or academic knowledge. This is part of the reply. "At this time, your profile does not appear to meet the requirements for our Data track. Generally speaking, our fellows have a basic understanding of SQL, Python or other technologies relevant to the job they are seeking in addition to data science experience or education. It is important that we feel confident in our ability to support you exactly where you are as Pathrise is neither a bootcamp or a formal education substitute. For added context; we’ve found that candidates with at least a year of relevant, full-time work experience and/or have very strong internships, education and projects are more likely to have success in our program. Our services help you showcase your skills in the job search setting, but we do not have a system in place to develop them at a higher level." I'm guessing they just have an automated review system without human review as my resume includes nearly 7 years of professional SQL experience and an MS in Data Analytics. I found the whole thing rather insulting.

I thought Pathrise would be the ticket to help me land an IT career. They rejected me. They rejected someone with 25 years in IT. Full disclosure I have been away for several years. However, I’ve been applying for IT jobs in my field and not even getting interviews. I saw an ad on TikTok. Filled it out. Sent my resume and got a rejection letter. FYI I have an associates degree in Computer Science. Yet that and 25 years of experience is not worth their time. I’m very disappointed.

My experience with Pathrise has been terrible. First of all, they tote their income-share agreements as if the novelty is an inherent selling point. On the contrary, they’re a way of ensuring they receive a cut of your future salary no matter what. 9% of your pre-tax income is immense, particularly if you have student loans or are looking to live in NYC/Bay Area/Seattle or any other tech area. Please be aware of how much of a commitment this is before you sign on. Because it’s a pre-tax percentage on an annual income but paid back in the first 6 months, it represents 20%-30% of your paycheck when you first land the job. They claim this amount is “reduced” if you are unsatisfied or receive a job out of the Pathrise network, but I asked a representative about this and they offered neither specifics nor a confirmation that this would happen. Otherwise, I was recruited for Pathrise and then ghosted. I “interviewed” with one of their admissions reps, a condescending undergrad who was dressed inappropriately and asked me nothing about myself. He had the audacity to tell me: “...this field is hard, and you probably won’t get any offers, so Pathrise will help you realize what you’re qualified for,” even though I’ve already started the interview process and have several years of experience/degrees/etc. Really, I was interested in Pathrise because they reached out to me and I wanted to know if they could add value to my job search. Ultimately, every “touch” I had with their team was lackluster, their payment model is exploitative, and it’s now been several weeks with zero follow up. Perhaps it’s better once you’re in the program but, again, I never heard back. Don’t waste your time or money. Job searches already take enough time- just focus on your roles, watch YouTube videos, and apply apply apply. You’ll be better off.
