The best way to think of Pathrise is as a college course. You could coast through it doing the bare minimum, but then your results won't be as great (i.e. it will take you longer to get a job). It is also your responsibility to work even harder on your weak points. Pathrise has experts for every stage of the job application process, so at the end of the day you are most definitely getting your money's worth, especially considering what you learn from Pathrise will help you in every future job search (without having to go back to them again). I initially had my own reservations about joining as it did seem like a scheme of some sort. But as soon as I had their help on my resume I was getting more emails back. You may or may not get as immediate results, but as long as you put in the work you Will get results. I wish you the best of luck in your job search!

If you decide to use Pathrise, ask for help from the mentors. I was only able to receive a job offer in marketing because I finally asked for interview prep with Polina. Just setting up the appointment to get additional guidance will spare you hours from research (randomly looking up YouTube videos and blog posts) and help you get to the job offer faster. Whatever you believe that you are lacking (resume, cover letter, portfolio setup, deciding which job posts to pick, what company do I want to work for) Pathrise is here to help. You have to put in the work, do what the advisors recommend, and for job searching it will take iterations (tries) to achieve success. "Failure is an option here. If things are not failing, you are not innovating." Elon Musk. If you want a change in career, you have to innovate your approach to acquiring a new job. (I know this is a cliche) The world (especially since COVID-19 hit) is always changing, you have to be willing to not only try new things. But talk to individuals that are ideally a few to several years into the career path you want. That individual has already gone through the process, the job search, the interviews, training and they have a much better idea of what employers want right now than you or I. Luckily, at Pathrise these individuals (the mentors) are here and they are active practitioners in their respective career fields. Ask them for guidance, you will waste less time in job searching and get to the job offer quicker. Lastly, the job search can very quickly be lonely and if you have been spending months receiving rejection after rejection, than would it not be better to sign the ISA with Pathrise? Pathrise only gets paid, when you get paid first and they make sure the work put into the job search is done most efficiently and effectively. Please do the application process with Pathrise, get the job offer and if successful, your story will help job seekers get the roles they deserve.

Choosing Pathrise has been a wonderful experience. They have data-driven approaches to interviews and excellent mentoring. A Big shout out to Kevin and Derrick for helping me through the interviewing process which can be very intimidating without their proper guidance and support.

Loved being able to discuss my concerns/issues with someone one on one and having my questions answered. It took the guesswork out of applying to jobs and offered concrete solutions on how to ensure I am getting the most out of my job search. I worked with my career mentor to update my LinkedIn, she helped me rewrite my job descriptions, and the day after I updated everything, 3 recruiters had already reached out to me about interviews! Apart from the workshops on technical concepts, the mentoring really is what makes this program useful.

I went into Pathrise expecting help in setting up a systematic approach to my job search. I got that and more. Their approach is data driven and they do a good job teaching it and supporting you with very helpful mentors. The recruiting process still took a lot of work but it was very valuable to me to feel confident that the steps I was taking were in the right direction. I would definitely recommend the program.

Participating in the Pathrice program was a great experience. I found a job in three months despite it being in the middle of a pandemic and having zero experience in this industry ( I was in UX/UI track). They have approaches that I hadn’t ever heard before in any other place and they are great. They are there to help you with every stage of the process, e.g. your resume, preparation for recruiting calls, the interview, design challenge, and advice for salary negotiation, with which I secured a 5K increase in starting salary (even though there is a pandemic where people have lost work). The cost of the service is pretty expensive but worth it.

I started working with Pathrise right as the Covid-19 lockdown started as companies started to slow hiring. The program is organized very well and the information and frameworks they share for helping you find a job are incredibly powerful and I know I'll be using them for my next job search as well. Finding a job is hard but it's truly amazing to have people there who's sole job is to help you find a job. The program covers everything from resume/profile optimization to one on one interview preparation all the way through the negotiation phase. As a fellow, you have access to the entire team of Pathrise advisors who often come from top tech companies and bring real-world knowledge of the recruiting processes at these companies. Sure, having to share some of your income with Pathrise isn't ideal but I know that as a result of Pathrise I found a better first role than I would have otherwise and that will pay dividends throughout the rest of my career. Think of Pathrise as an investment in your career.
