Looking back at 2 week trial period, I should've ...
Looking back at the long two weeks when I had to decide on joining Pathrise, I remember being very uncertain and indecisive. I read every single comment and review about the organization to be fully informed. However, at the end of the day, I knew I needed support to bridge the gap between an inexperienced candidate and a decent-paying job. Thus, I decided to take a chance. For the first few months, they helped me maximize my portfolio on every level, including LinkedIn, Resume, Hired.com, etc., which was a huge step forward. After prettifying the representation, I began to book numerous daily/weekly sessions with the industrial mentors that worked for FANG-level companies. Meeting and building meaningful relationships with them were the highlight of my experience since not only did I begin to get more offers, but I felt SO MUCH more confident about myself during the interviews. I brought my technical skills to the level of professional quality, and I was also able to start & revamp multiple projects with brilliant mentors, which led to more relatable/ meaningful conversations during the interview process. I understand the Pathrise experience varies for people, which makes sense since everything is people to people. You are not going to be always matched with the perfect mentor. However, you can always request to change your career mentor, and also you are given many options of industrial mentors to choose from that can provide you with different angles & perspectives. So it is up to you to find what fits and doesn't. For me, 90% of the mentors I have encountered were extremely helpful and always brought their A-game to every session. Platforms like Pathrise live off of their internal human "resources," so who they hire is very important to their business. I have felt that the organization has put great thought into its hiring process to select THE right person for the job. The reason for saying this is because I was able to truly connect with my career mentors and some of the industrial mentors. They were genuinely caring and rooting for my success, not to mention the emotional support they provided during the entire process. So to work with these amazing people was life-changing. So, if I did go back in time to the two week-trial periods, I would go through with it without hesitation. Although this platform is not for everybody, it was one of the best experiences for me.
