We totally agree! If an item is on back order, we'll show that on our website and not let it be ordered. What happened here, unfortunately, is that the manufacturer, who ships this item direct for us is on a back order, but they didn't inform us until the day after you placed the order. We are sincerely sorry for the extended shipping delay.
