FAUXBATON
Canon R6 died on the 4th use.
Despite meticulous assembly that strictly followed the instructions, and a seal check at the start of the snorkeling session, a tiny amount of seawater got in after about an hour. The Canon R6 camera is dead. It no longer turns on, and many parts are rusty. Customer service's reaction: it’s obviously my fault—they even suggest insuring my gear next time! But I’m not going to file an insurance claim every four outings! There is no locking mechanism to prevent the locking rings from unscrewing underwater. Given the temperature fluctuations in the water, this is very risky. The product offers completely inadequate protection for a €500 price tag! On top of that, I had to pay €50 in customs fees, even though they state that we wouldn't have to pay them! No refund was offered.
