Refrigerator purchase
I purchased a refrigerator, it was delivered and installed by the delivery crew. I was told that they would show me how to hook up the water line. When I asked to be shown, the delivery men said@no problem, we can do it”. They left, I restocked my new refrigerator and my husband and I left for a weekend trip. When we returned, there was a flood on my kitchen floor, and the floor was heavily damaged. I opened the refrigerator and more water poured out, the vegetable and fruit bins were also filled with water. Much of the food was ruined. I contacted the store and was told that I had to deal with the delivery company but that they would send a repairman but he wouldn’t be able to come for 4-5 days. I contacted the delivery company that denied hooking it up. I contacted corporate customer service several times during the next few weeks. I NEVER received a response. The refrigerator was finally repaired but I was left with a heavily damaged floor ( a custom wood floor) which cost several thousand dollars to repair. My biggest complaint is with corporate headquarters and their failure to respond to the situation. I have been a customer of Orville’s for many years and purchased appliances from them for 5 homes. Neither I or any of my friends or relatives will ever shop there again.
