Here is how it works: - you post a profile indicating the type of person you are seeking (e.g. 25-35 yo female). - you are given 20 free "credits" which is good for about 10 minutes of chat - you are then inundated with requests to chat from people who appear to be quite attractive - they will engage you and encourage you to continue chatting with them or sending them virtual gifts - as soon as you exhaust your credits, you need to purchase more credits THE KEY TO THIS SCAM IS THAT THE PEOPLE YOU ARE CHATTING WITH ARE AGENTS FOR ORCHID ROMANCE - THEIR JOB IS TO KEEP YOU ONLINE FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE SO THAT YOU KEEP PURCHASING CREDITS. THERE IS NO POSSIBILITY THAT YOU WILL EVER ENGAGE THESE PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE ORCHID ROMANCE PLATFORM. AND IF THAT IS NOT ENOUGH, CUSTOMER SUPPORT WILL NOT REMOVE YOUR ACCOUNT UNTIL YOU SIGN A WAIVER AGAINST ANY FUTURE COMPLAINTS. HERE IS THE TEXT OF THAT WAIVER: For deletion of the account, please provide us with: - profile ID indicated in your account (you can find your profile ID number by following this link for desktop version - your full name indicated in your documents - consent to withdraw from complaints against us(e.g., “I, John Smith, confirm withdrawal from complaints…”)
