Open Flow1099 Misclassification and Withheld Compensation
Open Flow, Inc. engages technical and digital talent under 1099 independent contractor agreements while imposing strict employee-level operational controls, including fixed salary-style compensation layouts, direct supervision, and mandatory client meetings. Upon contract termination, the agency immediately revokes internal system access and weaponizes that lack of access to claim that standard verification logs do not exist—ignoring the fact that compensation was structured as a fixed rate rather than standard project invoicing. Management then uses these manufactured disputes to withhold earned compensation for completed client onboarding services while continuing to utilize those active deliverables for agency operations. Prospective contractors and partners should exercise extreme caution.
