I have paid for an online author interview and not received one. I am now in contact with the service provider and am confident that a solution to my problem is now at hand. The response to my complaint has been an exemplar of professional integrity. I'm impressed!

In theory a great idea, and I certainly enjoyed the first book I read for them. However, when you write a detailed and clear review and the feedback from their 'editor' is "I love that you were able to say something about the book", you know that it isn't going to be a good experience. The patronising tone of editors is matched by picky (and often unnecessary or incorrect) 'corrections', and you are given a score on your review, based on whether you have met certain criteria (fair) and whether the editor thinks it is accurate (could be fair if applied right) or whether the editor dislikes your style of writing (ridiculous, condescending, and demeaning). It takes a good long while to go through their system, and there is a lot of redundancy, giving the same information more than one way, and when you have done that, you wait two weeks plus to be told "I love that you have written something about the book". There is no easy way to raise these issues, though you can 'request a recheck' and give a little feedback. Of course, the editor will just patronise you further, and make snide remarks. So you've spent hours reading a book and writing a review, and you are left with nothing at the end, not even a review they will publish. Serious issues with their website, the submission process, the editors and their clipboard superiority complex, and the process for complaining (basically non-existent).

Review book over 8 months no payment after buying the book off Amazon with own money and leaving Amazon Review. No Funds after they verified and everything scam site waste people's time and money to purchase books from whoever pays them for Reviews without compensation. Stay far away from here!!

I did a review for a new author (which is something I'm always happy to do) I submitted the review and then waited months to hear about payment. When I started making inquiries about the payment of the fees they had multiple people answering the query and of course all the information had to be repeated over and over again. I was asked to submit screenshots of the review, and snapshots of my Amazon account to "prove identity" and then they couldn't see what the error was so I had to submit a screenshot of that too. It is their system! They should know how to use it and see if there are any problems! They certainly proved they had enough staff it seems. After months and months of going around in circles, the matter is unresolved. Be very careful of this organization. I'm an author and given my experience of this company and how they treat reviewers I will not use this organisation and submitting my work for reviews to them, about using them for reviews. How can you trust an organization to represent you when they treat other people so badly and treat them like nothing? After my experience of having them treat me like nothing how can i trust anyone associated with this company?

Scam website that keeps people's money while they lie about paying them. Go and read the real reviews yourself and see how many people they scammed. They have robots running the website since it's so dysfunctional too. They act like they have no control over their own website.

I was given the opportunity to review a book in December 2022. I followed all guidelines for the review and submitted timely. I had 3 reviewers give drastically different grades. I was actually "failed" over a comma misplacement. I brought this to their attention and as of today June 30th, 2023, I have finally received payment for my review. Not. Worth. It.

Don’t waste your time. Reviews must be essay length with perfect grammar to get paid. Not worth the payment they offer. I was asked to edit 3 times with no ending in sight. Luckily I actually enjoyed the book, so I just cut my losses rather than spend more time on a measly $10.

In addition to the lackluster book selection and community engagement, OnlineBookClub.org suffers from an outdated website design. The interface appeared archaic, cluttered, and difficult to navigate. It lacked the user-friendly features and modern aesthetics expected from an online community in today's digital age. This outdated design only added to the overall disappointing experience. Moreover, the customer support offered by OnlineBookClub.org was subpar. When encountering issues or seeking assistance on the website, I found the support to be unresponsive and unhelpful. My inquiries were met with delayed responses, and the solutions provided did not adequately address my concerns. This lack of prompt and efficient customer support was disheartening, especially considering the membership fees I had paid. Additionally, my disappointment was compounded by a troubling incident. After diligently reading their books and crafting a thorough and flawless review, OnlineBookClub.org found petty reasons to withhold payment and even banned me from the platform. It was disheartening to witness such unprofessional behavior, especially considering they still published my review and claimed the funds that were rightfully owed to me. This unethical conduct, along with the other shortcomings of OnlineBookClub.org, solidifies my recommendation against joining the organization as a reviewer. In conclusion, my experience with OnlineBookClub.org was far from satisfactory. The limited book selection, lack of meaningful community engagement, biased review system, outdated website design, and poor customer support all contributed to a disappointing encounter. Furthermore, the organization's unprofessional practices of withholding payment and banning reviewers for trivial reasons demonstrate their lack of respect and integrity. As an avid reader, I strongly advise seeking alternative platforms that provide a more enriching and reliable experience for book lovers. The frustrations and disappointments I encountered with OnlineBookClub.org should serve as a warning to others, prompting them to seek better alternatives for sharing their literary insights and being fairly rewarded for their efforts.
