TL;DR - Saw an ad about getting paid to review books. Subsequently got paid to review books. Works as advertised. FULL REVIEW: Well, I saw and ad that said "hey, want to get paid to review books?" and I thought that sounded pretty good so I gave it a whirl. I read some books, I wrote some reviews, and I got paid. Pretty dang trustworthy I'd say! I'm giving them four stars (which means I had a GOOD experience) because of two things: 1) they do take a while to pay out (like, sometimes a month after you actually write the review), and 2) if you don't adhere exactly to their fairly complicated guidelines, they might not pay you (which happened to me once). Don't get me wrong, it's fair for them to say "hey, you have to do this the right way in order to get paid", but the one review I didn't get paid for was by far the one I had to spend the most time on because the communication system when there is an issue with a review is very restrictive and time consuming. so all in all, I would recommend this service to a friend (and I have, in the past), but I would also say to be prepared for a bit of frustrating trial and error initially while you get used to their whole system.

The tips were very helpful. I thought I wrote fairly well but found out my punctuation needed a little more work.

I received a book review

I am new to onlineBook Club. Everything I've seen is awesome. Hoping for good reviews for my book. In the meantime I enjoy reading. looking for a book to review.

My overall experience was good. I made a mistake on an advertising order and OBC stayed in contact and was empathetic with my situation. I also had a review request that was as advertised. I felt like I always knew where in the process I was. If I have any constructive criticism it would be on the website. I normally do not have issues maneuvering through websites, but for some reason I really struggle with the OBC site.

Update: Scott fixed the issue so I am changing my review to 4/5 stars. ------ Did not let me in so guess I will have to cancel the $399 payment. Needed password - no response. Dave Russell DCRussell.com

sometimes your instructions are not clear when signing up for book promotions. the reviews for the most part performed by good individuals with honest comments.

I’ve been involved in the online book club for almost a year. I finally won the daily giveaway yeah!!! It’s been a great experience I have learned a lot and read a ton of books. And even made some money along the way.
