Unreliable, Unresponsive Rental Experience
My experience with Omni Group has been extremely disappointing. I was supposed to move into my new apartment at 870 Reserve on Westminster, but despite paying rent and being fully prepared, the building did not have a Certificate of Occupancy. As a result, I was left without a place to stay—no accommodation for myself, my pet, or my belongings. Even in this situation, Omni Group refused to provide any help or solutions. Ironically, it was my previous landlord who extended assistance, covering for Omni’s shortcomings. Communication with Omni has been a disaster from the start and continues to be so. When I asked for updates, my emails and calls were ignored, leaving me to chase down answers myself. I’ve attempted to reach out to everyone, from the CEO to the COO and the VP of Leasing, multiple times, with no response. Due to Omni’s delays and lack of transparency, I was forced to incur additional expenses for nearly two weeks of temporary housing and missed work, including a work trip. Despite these significant hardships, Omni has refused to offer fair compensation for the losses they caused. Adding insult to injury, after ignoring my previous communications, Omni finally contacted me—only to deny my guest access to the parking lot for which I pay $100/month. All residents are allowed guest parking with prior approval, which I had received in writing from the COO. In a conversation minutes before receiving this email, an Omni employee admitted the decision was made because the owner was “pissed at Tyler.” This level of unprofessionalism and lack of consideration for paying tenants is completely unacceptable. The lack of honesty, transparency, and responsiveness from the entire team is unlike anything I’ve experienced in my five years working in Residential Real Estate Development. Omni Group has intentionally made my living experience extremely uncomfortable and caused me significant stress, financial strain, and unnecessary hardship. They are unresponsive, unreliable, greedy, and demonstrate a lack of concern for their tenants’ well-being. If you’re considering a property managed by the Omni Group, I strongly recommend running while you still can. I would not recommend this experience to anyone.
