OCTB Spanish ClassesReviews of octb.us

Instructor is patient friendly and knowledgeable. Tatiana is great. The use of the white board after class is annoying because I cannot copy and paste and it has a horrible watermark when I try to print it out.

My most recent class was with Gabriela Montañez and she has been one of the BEST tutors I've had with OCTB. She's not kidding when she says she's patient! She has taught me words and phrases that I would use in MY everyday life. Every method she uses to help me learn Spanish is extremely beneficial, and I'm a professional language teacher (American Sign Language)! Not only that but Gabriela also shows a genuine interest in listening to me and what I want/need to work on. My skills have greatly improved and will continue to do so with her teachings. Thanks Gabriela and OCTB!!

We are SO pleased with our daughter's Spanish lessons. Although she is a native speaker, she has gotten into the bad habit of wanting to speak only in English at home. She started to replace Spanish words with English words when she couldn't think of the word in Spanish fast enough. Patty has been so patient and kind with Aubrey. We have definitely noticed an improvement in her vocabulary and her diction. We cannot recommend OCTB enough. You will not be disappointed, just give them a try.

We have enjoyed using Overcome The Barrier and plan to continue. Office staff was helpful by recommending teachers who work children the best and my son has quickly clicked with his teacher. She is always well prepared and keeps him engaged. Great group of people and an affordable rate.

What a great way to practice Spanish! I have enjoyed meeting teachers from all over Latin America. Each brings a smiling face and willingness to help. I have found it very beneficial to think abut questions, or come prepared to practice certain constructions, conjugations or situations. Find the teachers who will not quickly revert to English and have fun with it!

The instructor has been very helpful - and patient. And OCTB is really a great deal.

I am a somewhat intermediate speaker who constantly gets stuck translating and conjugating verbs. At first I was a bit skeptical of this site because I couldn't find any reviews except on their web page alone. I decided to try the free demo, their response was really quick to setup my first 30 min session. My teacher, though younger than me, was professional, personable and has been very helpful. After my demo, I signed with a membership. I am picking up more thru this program in the 2 weeks I've used it than I have using online programs like Rosetta stone or duolingo. It nice you can try other teachers to see which learning style fits best for you. You unfortunately cannot modify the time you signed up for (e.g if membership for 1hr classes, you cannot break into 30 or 45mins). However, the customer support team are responsive, actually listen - this comment venue was something I recommend and are working towards a solution. They are also very professional. The zoom interaction helps keep the conversation flowing, allows me to speak or learn about whatever topic I have in mind and also challenges me to keep progressing. I definitely recommend!

This class is informative. The teacher is patient understanding and I enjoy our lessons
