FORGET the VET for treating pet "food allergies".
Had been taking my 6-year old 12-pound (male/fixed Schnauser/Yorkie mix) canine Pierre to a vet for over A YEAR for his expensive monthly "food allergy" injections because Pierre was constantly scratching his sides, neck and ears with rear feet; shaking his head and rolling on his back to try relieving his severe itching. His 'torture-by-itch' was SO difficult for me to watch - and hear his 'whining' cries of irritation. Changed Pierre's diet often. But NO symptoms got any better - only worse and worse. Pierre was chewing almost constantly on his feet and legs. The Vet said that Pierre had reached his maximum injection per month and there was nothing more he could do. Dark spots began forming on his coat, expecially on his legs. The overgrowth seemed to be affecting almost Pierre's entire body. Even his 'personality' had changed, in 'proportion' to increase of his constant scratching. As his suffering progressed, Pierre became more 'irritable' and 'secluded'. Not wanting to go outside to play with me, anymore. Sometimes 'growling at nothing'. So I began researching Pierre's symptoms online to find a solution. When I found Nzymes and read about a Candida yeast overgrowth, it matched most of his symptoms - so I 'chatted' online with a Nzymes Agent who suggested that she call back via phone. Kara 'opened my eyes' to the range of treatment products that Nzymes offered, and took time to 'get specific' about treatment for Pierre's suffering. By phone was so much better than via a chat could be. So, I ordered the treatment products that Agent Kara had recommended - which arrived in 3 days - and Pierre has been improving since then. Kara didn't nay-say the Benedryl dose recommended by the vet, but suggested also giving Pierre 1-1/2 milligram (Mg) of Melatonin per-10lb of body weight. So 3 times per day, Pierre gets the 1-1/2 Mg of Melatonin along with 12.5Mg (half tablet) of Benedryl - Which soon soothes much of his 'incessant' scratching and 'chewing'. Kara was right - recovery is a long process, since the Candida yeast is such a tough, opportunistic overgrowth organism - which became virulent because of feeding him too much grain and sugar in food and treats. The information that came with the treatment products suggested using Coconut oil, gold Listerine and Baking Soda as topical skin treatments. Each was some comfort individually, but MUCH more effective when combined as a 2-cup 'BATCH'. In a warmed, one-cup of gold Listerine, whisked 2 Tbsp. of Coconut oil (so it no longer just floated on the surface). Then heated a cup of water (just beginning to steam), before stirring-in 2 tsp. of Baking Soda. Then added the hot soda-water to the cup of Listerine/Oil and strongly whisked all together (a blender might be an alternative?). Sponged the cooled mixture to Pierre's back and legs. His scratching immediately subsided some - and lasted for hours! Am also giving him 3cc daily of (anti-Candida) Coconut oil orally, by 'syringe' (no needle). Also researched the cause of such intense itching - some of which is due to the release of dead Candida cell TOXINS - mainly through thin-skin 'bony' areas, expecially the ridge of the back and including the tail - and down the rib cage - along with lower leg/ankle and feet. Also noticed an intense increase of itching, an hour or so after Pierre ATE anything - which pointed to a "leaky-gut" syndrome - foreign molecules getting into his bloodstream by Candida hyphae growing through the intestinal wall (slow to heal, like cartiledge) - causing Pierre's immune system to fight against foreign molecules - which caused even MORE itchy inflammation of the intestinal tract (and only God knows where else). I learned that multi-protein collagen (types I, II, III, V and X) is recommended to help heal such intestinal 'leakage' in humans, but medical Doctor and Vet training doesn't even recognize that such yeast overgrowth condition even exists). Finally settled on a 375Mg dose of NutriVein complex (per 20Lb of animal weight) which is 1/2 of a 750Mg capsule of powder - cut at the capsule 'seam' with scissors, into a 'shot glass' with 2ml of beer to dissolve it. Takes a bit of stirring to dissolve it though. Administered by 'syringe', taste doesn't seem to be an issue to Pierre. Also administer a 'concoction' with 2 drops of Ox-E-Drops and three drops of BlackLeaf; and (dosage-by-weight) of Bac-Pac Plus probiotics and one full scoop of Sprouted Granules (pre-pulverized to a FINE powder in a coffee grinder) ALL stirred into water and delivered by 'syringe' once daily. Due to Nzymes' product efficacy and Agent Kara's recommendations, Pierre's itching has steadily been subsiding - and his loving 'personality' is almost back to normal. A lot more tail-wagging and playing with me - going on again... So, my thanks to Nzymes for their great products and also for training their chat/email agents to consider pet-OWNER suffering too.
