I spent many years in denial about my problem, blind to how my actions and behavior hurt myself and those around me. I had tried traditional therapists in the past, but none provided the solutions or tools I needed to overcome my addiction on a day-to-day basis. Jake, however, directly relates to what I am going through, and it gave me comfort to know that I am not alone in my struggles and that I can overcome my addiction. He has given me the tools and support I needed to get through some of the most difficult times of my life. It has truly been life-changing. I have been sober 7 months now. I have strengthened my relationships with my spouse, children, and friends. I am more present with those around me, more mindful of my own emotions, and am beginning to take back control of my life.

At the time I reached out to Jake, I was in a difficult spot. I wanted to perfect my sobriety, and I knew 'perfect' needed professional one on one help. It was perfect timing finding Jake. Because he had gone through what I had, he knew what I was going through. He helped me get back on track with my recovery through our weekly sessions. I found them very helpful, as I shared my struggles and wins throughout the week with him. I also had assignments each week that helped me develop a recovery lifestyle and mindset - something I wanted and needed in my life. After working with Jake, I feel like I’m in a much better place mentally to deal with life’s challenges and to not use my addiction to cope. Doing the deep work with Jake has brought me peace of mind, happiness and self acceptance. I’m a better husband, father and person because of our work together.

I found out about Jake through his podcast and was intrigued. The experience working with him has been great to date. I’ve worked with many therapists and coaches over the years. Jake stands out partly because he cares so deeply and is so eager to help. He sees my problems and is almost as excited as I am to solve them. I hear him furiously typing notes on his keyboard when we’re talking, and I hear “I am deeply invested in your success” in every keystroke. I love his enthusiasm to continually find new ways to help his clients. Big fan of Jake!

Before I started this program my life and marriage were in shambles. I had no clue how to control my addictions. I had beaten alcoholism, quit smoking but could never on my own kick porn and sexting. I fell upon this program searching through podcasts on porn addiction and thought "Wow, this Jake guy actually seems pretty awesome" unlike a lot of the other guys I listened to. Jake's program has transformed my life. It has dug deeper into the "why" to my addictions and taught me countless ways to battle against my addictions. Before starting this program, I dealt with high anxiety and depression to go along with my addictions. Using Jake's methods I have got myself to a much better spot in life. I deal with little to no depression, my anxiety is no more than your average Joe, and my marriage is pretty close to better than ever. Thanks to the things I have learned with this program I am the happiest with myself that I have ever been in my life. Jake's guidance has been above and beyond what I was expecting I'd get out of this. Having someone that has dealt with the same things as myself and can communicate with me more like a peer than someone who thinks they're better than you is a really big thing for me. I have always had a hard time sharing things, but Jake makes it very no pressure, just come as you are. Simply put, Jake and this program have changed my life and I can honestly say I wouldn't be where I am today without this.

Before I was with Jake, I felt like I tried everything to overcome but it seemed like no matter what I did, I could never get over it. Jake's program has taught me exactly what I need to overcome for good and have no desire (hence the name). I’m still working everyday and creating the lifestyle that Jake has taught me to be able to be sober long-term. But for now, I just feel so much happier and so much more free. I feel like I can manage my thoughts and feelings and truly control them. My relationships are better since being with Jake and his program. He is one of the nicest dudes you will ever meet. He never judges but always gives amazing advice at the right moments. I totally recommend him!!! You won’t regret it!

My life & marriage was beginning to feel bleak & unmanageable when I began, but already I am finding hope & confidence as I give 100% effort to work the program. I tried many things to address my addiction such as screenshot accountability, internet filters and talk therapy. Whilst these methods were somewhat helpful, I still struggled regularly. After a few months of listening to the No More Desire podcast, I decided to set up a consultation with Jake. This turned out to be the most significant step I've ever taken in my struggle against porn addiction. Being in the programme has already yielded so many benefits. I've learned how to identify the underlying stresses and anxieties fuelling my addiction cravings. I'm also learning how to adopt a recovery mindset centred around acceptance and surrender, as opposed to resistance and judgement. Jake is a very compassionate and encouraging coach, who has a real desire to see growth in his clients. I would highly recommend the programme.
