Have earned every bit of this crappy rating we used them to finance our security system. Something happened to my card that I had on file little chip wore out in it something happened. It didn't go through they got my wife's card on file too. They didn't try to use it they just emailed me the next day and charge me a damn late fee. This is a company that should be put out of business. This is a low-life company that prays on people that just make a mistake or has a card or something like that so they can charge them a damn late fee bad bad business that's why they're reviews are where they're at in the dumpsters

This card was stolen from me, even though I didn't have it. It's a fraud.

Fortiva is a total joke. Vivent home security uses them for homeowners who dont pay the app. $3000 cost at time of installation. Fortiva refused to send me a written, itemized statement after 3 written requests mailed registered mail! I finally paid them off to get rid of them. They still negatively pinged my credit score! Run away from them as fast as you can!

Every poor review listed here is a mirror of what I and most people feel here. The Fortiva customer service people are rude and do not listen to what you have to say. It's all about the script and god forbid they MUST follow their script. TERRIBLE Company, zero customer care and a I don't give a SH** attitude. They changed my account settings while I was on a call last month and revised my payment settings and then passed the blame onto me. Got news for you FORTIVA, you won the phone battle but I won the war...My bank has gotten me the money back with a simple dispute I made.

The Mafia must be behind this scam card with the sky- high interest, terrible fees and very poor customer service where you need a translator to understand what they are telling you. Cut card up and threw it in the trash. If I want Mob money...

Canceled my card 6 to 8 weeks ago. Closed the account. Today July 22nd, 2026, got a text stating I was going to collection for a unpaid balance of 30.51. Called customer service. Was told account would be closed after I paid the monies. My reply was I am being charged on a closed account, noted on Experian closed per customer request. Yes was the answer. Paid the 30.51, will see what happens.

So to begin with, I tried changing my email address that I no longer had access to. I provided all the details they needed short of a blood sample. Then they tell me they can't change it but I can update my phone number to get access. Somehow I manage to make that work and now my account is suspended. Have I ever missed a payment? No. I was simply unable to make a payment online due to an error on their behalf and so the plot of this nightmare thickens. I'm called by a spam number during work after repeatedly trying to reach them and I'm asked for all my details. I state to the caller how do I know this isn't a scam and that i'd prefer to try the number on their card AGAIN. I finish work and it's been 4 hours of trying to reach someone. When I do finally reach an agent, he wants to send a code to the email I said I did not have access to. After asking for my FULL social security, email, address, card number and phone number. Not once, not twice but THREE times. Nothing screams a scam more than someone who needs you to repeat your personal details 3 times in the course of 5 mins. So now I have a online account I can't make a payment for, late fees and maybe even identify theft. AVOID at all costs!
